No wonder orchids have become so popular. Once considered difficult to keep, I now have two that seem to be happy in their current position.
I love the intricate composition and have taken many macro shots of the interior, but as this one was illuminated in the morning sunlight coming through the window, I could see an angel emerging.

An oldie revisited.......
Taken a couple of years ago during a visit to Dubbo Zoo with long time friend and fellow flickr tog Joe Micallef.
There were a group of these birds gathered outside the cafe looking for an easy feed.

A beautiful Zebra in Windsor Safari on Wednesday. Had a lovely day with my son and grandkids in spite of the chilly wet weather.
In onze tuin staat een afgezaagde amerikaanse eik. Elk jaar loopt ie toch weer uit met grote kleurrijke bladeren. Dit is een close-up van een van die bladeren.
In our garden stands a cut-down American oak. Every year, it sprouts new leaves with large, colorful foliage. This is a close-up of one of those leaves.
