A bit fuzzy but in the close-up view you can see our lead team of Bob Wientge, Anna Knutson and Ken Jacobs still picking their way through the rocks heading up to the ridge leading to the scree field just below Windom Peak. Minutes after this photo was taken, we got pounded for 20-30 minutes by hail on the leading edge of a bad lightning/thunder storm.

This knife has an almost 9 inch long stainless steel blade, it was a blank that I added a guard and handle to. I Hand crafted the sheath out of oak and leather for it. The handle is buffalo spacers at the top and bottom with maple burl and the larger portion is black walnut.
Close-up of some of the snow that fell last night in a storm that wasn't forecasted. It was a warm storm so the snow was very heavy and I got a lot of good exercise.

This is a close-up of an illustration of Royals Stadium I created

I have to say, I spent quite a bit of time getting the details right, and decided to upload some close-up shots so some of these small details could be seen!

Even close up the cams look pretty good especially as they were produced without any specialised tooling or custom made jigs.
And it is nice to have a billet camshaft to go with the billet crankshaft.
This was taken with my Borg 107FL with a 2.5x PowerMate along with a 2x Celestron Barlow lens (5x total increase) and a 178M camera with no filters. At this magnification I found that using a solar continuum filter required lengthy exposures (5x magnification = 25x reduction in surface brightness), or for too much gain, that introduced significant noise. In the end, I got lucky with a bit of reasonable seeing so this image turned out relatively well, all considered.
