Started this season off with a single speed conversion on my 1972 Peugeot. The gear ratio is 52x19 (2.7) these photos were taken the other day around town, well mostly the lakeshore, as my first time as a single speed cyclist. The conversion is done and I am really loving it!! There's work still to be done but at least I'm back on the road after a long, long, long, never ending winter...
Actually, the stones themselves were very cool. It's all dry-stone construction, but the rock naturally fractures into excellent rectangular shapes.

Close up on appliqued leaves and ruched rose. This is the same pattern used for Craftyturtle but in different colors.

Nasty looking thing this. Its malevolent presence is palpable, even behind glass.
The head of the poppet is made of wax; it sits on a textile body attached to a thick wire support. Tucked inside the poppet's cloak are fragments of paper inscribed with sigils, included as part of a curse to cause harm to the witch's victim.
Currently on display at Moyse's Hall Museum, Bury St Edmunds.

Close up of the leaping animal in the rug I made at a Mehmet Girgic 3 day workshop. I laid out my wool fibres on top of a prepared base (undyed wool and cotton), wet it out and then rolled, stamped and rolled again until the rug had shrunk by about 45%!

A large close up of a previous photo of me at the beach in Cape May. I was young and in love but had a restless heart and decided to travel and see things, boy did I ever! But I always would return to what I loved best, and those things have a way of changing on you, while you are away from them for too long. They feel different and things once familiar don't look the same. It all was an adventure and courage played the biggest part and still does. It has to be a life of living in the moment or you cheat yourself out of too many things that can make for a great story.
