Cliffs of Capitol Reef. These cliffs show three distinct layers: the reddish-brown Moenkopi Formation at the bottom, the Chinle Formation forming the talus slope in the middle and the vertical cliff face of the Wingate Sandstone at the top. All were deposited during the Triassic period about 215 to 240 million years ago.
A series of images captured at RSPB Bempton Cliffs Yorkshire. A true haven for nesting Gannets and Puffins with the cliff faces heavily populated with nesting pairs. Several of the nests containing young but at this stage a little early to fledge. A really great day out and worth a visit to support the RSPB and take some great photographs.

A great afternoon, and evening exploring the Sunset Cliffs in San Diego. I was able to just sit back and enjoy the experience.
