I have never leaned on anyone
I have stood strong in myself and in my being
And been growing as a human being
And why haven't I leaned on anyone, well
Because my surroundings have been like it has been from the very start
The Viking Queen was born from day one
Acknowledging the fact that I can be my own cliff has been important for me and how I have dealt with things
Being aware of that I am my own cliff is also an important thing for my own growth
We often act and do things without thinking, was this a good thing or what
You will find respect for yourself if you dwell a bit and look within and find the resources you actually have
But realizing that others 'out there' also can be a Cliff in my life is pretty awesome
Two Cliffs may become one
How cool isn't that
Staying strong is a different experience when you are more than one, I would think
I have never experienced that before
Often we don't even realize that we have Cliffs in our lives
I cherish what I have and look forward to the future cliff 'out there'
Bempton Cliffs, on the spectacular Yorkshire coast, is home to one of the UK's top wildlife spectacles. Around half a million seabirds gather here between March and October to raise a family on towering chalk cliffs which overlook the North Sea. RSPB
The Cliffs of Moher are located at the southwestern edge of the Burren region in County Clare, Ireland. They run for about 14 kilometers (9 miles) and offer dramatic views from the Coastal Walk trail. The cliffs have been featured in many movies including Harry Potter, The Princess Bride, Leap Year, and many more.
A Cliff Swallow is seen at the Frenchman River near Val Marie in Grasslands National Park, southwestern Saskatchewan, Canada. As well as on cliffs and buildings, this species also establishes breeding colonies of its mud nests at bridges. This individual was one among dozens that were preening after roosting overnight, before beginning to feed as insects became active.

Stu and I visited Mesa Verde 17 years ago. This is an AI generated picture of Cliff Palace. This was such an amazing trip!
Feel like in a fairytale, with fantastic clouds over the layer cliffs with lights through the clouds at a lovely village, Viðareiði, Norðoyar, Faroe Islands.
GPS might not the exact point of this photo.
Have a nice day everyone! ❤️

(Quelle: Wikipedia)

Cliff Palace at Mesa Verde
Mesa Verde lights up a display once a year and we were lucky enough to have Cliff Palace lit this year. We arrived a little after 2:00PM to get a good setup spot and since we were the 1st ones arriving it was prime. By twilight time there must have been well over 100 photographers and tripods. This shot is composed of 4 vertical shots stitched together in a panorama method.
As the fair weather continues, I thought it would be a good opportunity to practise some focus stacking techniques. This is one of the more simple ones that I did but I liked the composition enough to share the image. I am blending manually and this can be a pain-staking and lengthy process but I really do think that the rewards are worth the effort. There are still mistakes in focus points in all of the images I took yesterday but ultimately, I feel I managed to conceal these well for the most part. This image was taken on the coastline of Portknockie in Morayshire, Scotland.
This was our first travel trip outside of North America. The beauty of Ireland is clear in this rugged shot on a grey day looking over the Atlantic Ocean. It was blustery as our group explored the cliffs but it's scenery you will never forget.
The western cliffs of the Isle of May host thousands of breeding seabirds. At this late stage in the season it was only the Kittiwakes that were left in any numbers. Earlier on Guillemots and Razorbills would have populated these cliffs, leaving their distinctive whitewash. There were a few late auk chicks around.
