Okjeongho Lake is an artificial lake created by constructing a dam on the Seomjin River, which is the cleanest among the four major rivers in Korea.

After the lake was created, a sea of clouds occurs almost all year round, making it a famous tourist destination for those who want to see it.

Two out of the three arches of Kalogeriko old (build in 1814) stone bridge in the picturesque village of Kipi in Epirus in northwest Greece, reflected on the crystal clear waters of Voidomatis river.

Kalogeriko (or Plakida) is one of the very rare old stone bridges with three arches in all Balkans.

The mountainous river of Voidomatis has been characterized as the “cleanest river” in Europe, as it does not face any environmental issues, flowing through one of the most beautiful and unspoiled natural locations of Greece in the Vikos–Aoos National Park.

The river is spanned by numerous very old and picturesque stone bridges, and is well known for water sports such as rafting, canoeing and kayaking.

Looking to the bell tower of New College, built 1396-1405 and its chapel to the right.

New College Lane crossed by Hertford Bridge (commonly known enevitably as the Bridge of Sighs) that links the old Hertford College building to its 19th century extension.

On the skyline on the left is the (visually) badly sited enormous John Radcliffe Hospital, one of the largest and most important in the country. Just a shame its on the skyline.

Taken through the closed window of the cupola, the ghostly reflection of the others visible. In fairness the cleanest glass I've ever seen. How they manage it up here is beyond me. Puts mine to shame!

Cleanest D-Turbo ever!! Loved this.

The Königssee is a lake located in the extreme southeast of the German state of Bavaria, near the border with Austria. It's all part of the Berchtesgaden National Park. Located at a Jurassic rift it was formed by glaciers during the last ice age. It stretches about 7.7 km. The lake similar to a fjord is surrounded by steeply rising flanks of mountains up to 2700 m. The lake is noted for its clear water and is advertised as the cleanest lake in Germany. For this reason, only electric driven passenger ships, rowing and pedal boats have been permitted on the lake since 1909. Due to its picturesque setting, the lake and surrounding parklands are very popular with tourists and hikers. In addition, the lake's position surrounded by sheer rock walls creates an echo, which is known for its clarity. St. Bartholomä, a famous pilgrimage church with a small inn nearby, is located on a peninsula about halfway down the western lakeshore. St. Bartholomä and the southern edge can only be reached by boat or via hiking trails up the surrounding mountains.

A vertoramic view over the alpine mountains of the Konigssee in the county of Berchtesgaden - Germany. Photo taken from the Jenner mountain top at the height of 1,870 meters where the beauty of the Berchtesgaden valley and Königssee can be viewed. An overwhelming bird's eye view above green meadows, past cliffy rocks and lake Königssee with all of its magnificence.

Natures Beautiful Alpine Lake

Königssee lies just a couple of miles south of the town of Berchtesgaden and is Germany's deepest and cleanest lake

A look back to January 2012, just after New Year, and hurricane winds in Central Scotland made it almost impossible for some routes to operate on double deckers for a couple of days, and so sights like this were very pleasing to see.

Once upon a time, my favourite bus in Edinburgh, Dennis Dart SLF, Plaxton Pointer SPD, number 188 (Y188 CFS) got to work on Service 37 and here she is at Penicuik Deanburn. It was great to see it sitting here right under the Pentland Hills.

188 normally ran around the inner parts of Edinburgh's City Centre on the old 36 diagram between Holyrood and Ocean Terminal. This was the first eco-bus AD-Blue with special exhaust features to reduce emissions, Lothian made this, their oldest public service bus at the time, the cleanest and greenest in the entire fleet.

Dart 188 was renumbered to 53 (soon after this photograph was taken) and joined the fleet group numbered 53 to 60 in this Get there Greener livery, one of the many designs created by David Cook.

I always enjoy finding these guys when I'm hiking in the San Bernardino mountains in California, so it was a treat to find one in the swamps of Florida thousands of miles away. This is a partial 2-shot stack, although it's not the cleanest due to my own poor technique. For all you handheld focus stackers out there: much respect!

After many days of isolation I went to this spot to try my new Canon camera. There was very little traffic to get those light trails. The air, it’s been said that it’s the cleanest in the world, because people are driving less.

So, my main location yesterday was actually a couple of hundred feet in front of this location, at the position under the footbridge on the edge of the Blackwall Basin. I've been there a couple of times before and never come away with anything I liked due to various factors, not least that the lighting in that location is quite tricky to manage.

Anyway, I decided to look at what else was available in the same line of sight and came across this beautifully tranquil spot over the road (Preston's Rd), overlooking a much smaller basin of water. Perfect for a long exposure or two.

I took a bunch of shots, gradually increasing the exposure time, as they all looked pretty dark on my 6D's rear LCD. This one was just over 7 minutes, using 16 stops of Formatt Hi-Tech ND filters. It was a well-shielded area, making it a nicer experience when standing about for minutes on end, rather than what often happens, which is being battered by heavy wind the whole time, worrying about whether the camera is being jiggled!

I processed them in a few different ways, and I may put multiple versions up here for comparison. This is the cleanest, gentlest amount of processing, and I do like the simplicity and pureness of this treatment ...

Its a photo of pengong lake , near leh ladakh in the mountain range of Himalaya.

Its possibly the cleanest lake in india. Its the best place to spend time with nature.

Shallow grave.

Not the cleanest church I've been in recently but it did have a few nice features

Just having lunch on the terrace at Nick's in Mcleod Ganj, and noticed these guys cruising around - often beneath us as its so steep up here. Not the cleanest of shots but i like the fact i'm on a level with the bird and the blurred buildings in the background - Dharamshala, Himanchal pradesh, India.

Kayangan Lake, which is located at Coron Island, Northern Palawan is said to be the cleanest lake in the Philippines. Sometimes called the Blue Lagoon, this freshwater lagoon is amidst sheer limestone cliffs. This beautiful picture-perfect scenery can be seen after a walk up a mountain trail.

The Königssee is a lake located in the extreme southeast Berchtesgadener Land district of the German state of Bavaria, near the border with Austria. Large parts are comprised by the Berchtesgaden National Park.

St. Bartholomä and Watzmann

Lying within the Berchtesgaden Alps in the municipality of Schönau am Königsee, just south of Berchtesgaden and the Austrian City of Salzburg, the Königssee is Germany's third deepest lake. Located at a Jurassic rift it was formed by glaciers during the last ice age. It stretches about 7.7 km (4.8 mi) in the north-south direction and is about 1.7 km (1.1 mi) across at its widest point. Except at its outlet, the Königsseer Ache at the village of Königssee, the lake similar to a fjord is surrounded by steeply rising flanks of mountains up to 2700 m (8900 ft), including the fabled Watzmann massif in the west.

The lake is noted for its clear water and is advertised as the cleanest lake in Germany. For this reason, only electric driven passenger ships, rowing and pedal boats have been permitted on the lake since 1909. Passenger services along the length of the lake, calling at various points, are operated by the Bayerische Seenschifffahrt company.[

Sunset

This is Germany, I took this photo from the window of the bus while traveling by bus at sunset.

Germany is one of the leading countries using wind energy. The world's cleanest electricity generation system is perhaps the first use of wind energy, which does not create pollution that will cause air pollution, does not contain any waste, and leaves our destroyed world clean for future generations.

Miami is a seaport city at the southeastern corner of the U.S. state of Florida and its Atlantic coast. As the seat of Miami-Dade County, the municipality is the principal, central, and the most populous city of the Miami metropolitan area and part of the second-most populous metropolis in the southeastern United States.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Miami's metro area is the eighth-most populous and fourth-largest urban area in the U.S., with a population of around 5.5 million.

Miami is a major center, and a leader in finance, commerce, culture, media, entertainment, the arts, and international trade. In 2012, Miami was classified as an Alpha−World City in the World Cities Study Group's inventory. In 2010, Miami ranked seventh in the United States in terms of finance, commerce, culture, entertainment, fashion, education, and other sectors. It ranked 33rd among global cities. In 2008, Forbes magazine ranked Miami "America's Cleanest City", for its year-round good air quality, vast green spaces, clean drinking water, clean streets, and citywide recycling programs.

According to a 2009 UBS study of 73 world cities, Miami was ranked as the richest city in the United States, and the world's fifth-richest city in terms of purchasing power. Miami is nicknamed the "Capital of Latin America" and is the largest city with a Cuban-American plurality.

Miami has the third tallest skyline in the U.S. with over 300 high-rises. Downtown Miami is home to the largest concentration of international banks in the United States, and many large national and international companies. The Civic Center is a major center for hospitals, research institutes, medical centers, and biotechnology industries.

For more than two decades, the Port of Miami, known as the "Cruise Capital of the World", has been the number one cruise passenger port in the world. It accommodates some of the world's largest cruise ships and operations and is the busiest port in both passenger traffic and cruise lines.

Metropolitan Miami is the major tourism hub in the American South, number two in the U.S. after New York City and number 13 in the world, including the popular destination of Miami Beach.

Snoqualmie, WA; a view of the power plant built in 1910.

The contrast between the beauty of the river and the monstrosity of the plant is striking.

The impact of human needs on the environment is so huge that is hard to completely grasp, and sometimes it is a means to an end.

This plant powers about 8,000 homes and, although unsightly, is certainly one of the cleanest solutions to produce electricity that humans came up with. It is also probably partially powering the computer I am using and giving me one of the tools I need to show the world this picture.

Ironic! I take pictures of a power plant to convey the message of our impact on nature. Without the power it produces, I wouldn’t be able to convey the message. Perhaps it would be much wiser to just sit near a clean untouched river, and talk with you face to face about the beauty of the environment.

Life is so full of contradictions and complex relationships between causes and effects.

Life and death are the extremes; everything else falls in between.

The immaculate C-135C Speckled Trout is seen here departing RAF Fairford, during the Royal International Air Tattoo back in 1999. I seem to remember that the whole showground stopped and watched as this jet departed, hands down the cleanest aircraft I have ever seen in my life.

She is currently preserved at the Air Force Flight Test Center Museum at Edwards Air Force Base.

Earlier this week my friend and I had this shoot we were doing over in downtown Toronto. We were there shooting all throughout the day. We were actually hoping to finish early enough to make it down to the pier so we could take some fun shots of the skyline during sunset. Amazingly we made it out just in time and made it down here with 15 minutes to spare before the sun had fully set. It was unbelievably windy down by the pier that day too. The lake was super choppy, occasionally splashing us while we were out shooting. The wind was strong enough to cause the little puddles to ripple constantly. I wanted them to be static so I could get a clean reflection but that was not happening. This was the cleanest reflection I got. I took a few shots on my phone as well and uploaded a shot of the sunset right before it had actually set, you can see it on my Instagram (link to it is at the top). This was shot right after the sun had set. I actually like it more, I prefer the purple glow more after all compared to the usual orange glow of sunset.

I remember taking this photograph couple of years ago with a cell phone camera. I always wanted to take a high-resolution picture of the same but never got a chance to try it until today. Well, it is not cleanest subway station but the symmetry and a long platform with minimal obstructions are always hard to find in NYC subway system.

I have loads of this species of Lycosidae (Wolf Spiders) in my garden at the moment with eggsacs enjoying the sun. Not the cleanest stack and was taken at 5x magnification with natural light. Only had a few hours to take some pics the other day otherwise working and moving to Cardiff bay at the moment so all systems go! But starting to feel allot better now I have my own place :) I will be on and catch up when I can.

One of the Amazing facts about Bhutan is that its the World's Greenest country and surely one of the cleanest I have visited.

The only carbon negative country in the world is something makes Bhutan unique. Innovative recycling projects, Afforestation and commitment to environmental preservation is something to be learnt from the kingdom.

Who has the cleanest planes ? :)

I just want to show you this SOOC shot with no editing. Inspired by my favorite Ansel Adams shot called Dogwood Blossoms. I saw his original print in person, and the detail he pulled out of the whites was incredible. From across the room, it looked like there were actual flowers glued to the paper. For this Orchid photo, I used the cleanest lens I know, the Zeiss Milvus 135mm f/2 lens for this shot. No edits at all, I uploaded this to flickr, from the camera's memory card even, so you know there was no retouching.

If you've ever photographed flowers before, you know that close up they have flaws, edges brown, bugs eat them, tears in petals, etc. One bloom opens, another one withers. I watched each one of these blooms open, one at a time a couple days apart, and the ones that were already open didn't shrivel, brown, or fade. I knew I had to photograph it. I was photographing it before the last two blooms even opened, because I'd rather had all of them perfect, than all of them open with one of them having browned edges. On the last day, the last bloom opened, the first bloom was still flawless, and I knew there was something special going on here. I captured it in the most detail I possibly could at the time, in one frame. The next day, the flowers started to wither, one at a time starting with the largest blooms onward. There's something beautiful in the fleeting perfection. I'm just glad I was able to witness it. I've returned to the same garden center, many times since then, looking for another flawless specimen, and I haven't found one yet that had the potential of this one here.

This is my favorite photograph I've taken.

I've stolen this title from an early Neil Young album, although it has nothing whatsoever to do with rock music, merely rock lichens. This orange rusty colour is ubiquitous on the rocks around here. I'm not a biologist so I'll simply direct you to a source that can enlighten you further.

They say that this lichen (sometimes called, "marine sunburst lichen") is an indicator of clean air. That probably makes sense, because the inaptly named Cape Grim, on the far north-west of Tasmania, is regarded as having the cleanest air quality in the world.

A rather early Ford Orion spotted lingering in a South London driveway. It appears the current owner bought the car in 1999, but never got to use it, as it was last taxed in 1998. Perhaps a project which never went ahead or a car bought off a family member and kept for sentimental reasons?! Either way, it appears that they are making some attempt at preserving the car by jacking it off the ground, presumably to keep the rust at bay. The cleanest thing on the car were the 90s universal style hubcaps, which at some point were ever so common on cars like the Orion!

CPR/VIA view from westbound #1 "The Canadian" vista dome car as we meet an eastbound freight headed two Geeps. Once we left Swift Current, I must have found a seat in the dome observation that I had just photographed there. Not the cleanest glass and certainly not the best picture, but an ample illustration of my first exposure to Canada's broad prairie. It was my first "exposure" in more ways than one. I was hooked and would return many times.
