New Space Hangar - Area 78
Finally ready. Spaceship based on Nick Trotta's Elfire. "Handplants" seen by Marcel V.
Prefabricated, fully sealed outposts were one way that allowed the Federation rapid expansion onto new worlds. These surface bases provided hubs for exploratory vehicles, and often contained larger scientific instruments for analysis that would be impractical to carry on mobile laboratories. Once a planet's atmosphere had been properly measured, tested, and transformed, less stringently sealed construction could occur on the surface, and these outposts could then be recycled for further use on new frontiers.
I started this build with the idea of building something entirely studs up using large panel pieces so beloved of later classic space sets. I got quite far, but I couldn't resist when closing up the back using more modern techniques, in order to maintain certain symmetries. Still, I'm happy with how clean this build came out. I like the windows with horse hitchings! It has a full interior, which I will also try to capture.
40 years of classic space!
Febrovery 2021
Everybody needs more exercising, even on the moon.
Benny's Bicycle delivery rover, supplies every one with their own color coded bike.
During the early days of the Civil Space Police, they fielded the Solar Vanguard, a hybrid interceptor/perp transport.
The Solar Vanguard was mostly used on sleepy backwater worlds to apprehend rogue Blacktron agents committing minor offenses such as jay-walking, spitting, and public drunkeness.
Quick, well-armed, and holding an internal single holding cell, this is one Space Police craft not to take lightly.
This little fella needed a spaceship so I built one with the parts of set 71772. The minifigure is from series 22 and has a unique purple classic space torso. The dark pink windscreen is also unique. The three wings can retract to make it more compact when landed. If people like this I might create digital instructions for it later.
Classic Space - Benny's Cruiser, Cruiser, CRUISER! After the ending of the Movie Benny slimmed down his SSS to about half the size and weight while upgrading two of the engines. He now has a sleeker "Cruiser" that is twice as fast. He is currently working on another project with the rest of SSS but further information is not available at this time.
Side note: This is about half of the SSS set. Project #2 will be started soon.
We're all familiar with the tale of how the brave spacemen of Classic Space spread peace throughout the galaxy using tea and cake. We've all seen the blockbuster movie, we've all bought the souvenir mug, we've all polished the novelty cake plate that we inherited from Great Aunt Agatha.
Shown in these archive photos is the Vic Viper Tea Tanker, used for high speed deliveries of refreshing brews. These were particularly effective at distracting the Little Green Men when they got bored and decided to sacrifice another victim to the Claw.
Due to its urgent mission and high speed, the VV TT was painted with orange hi-vis panels, in order that other spacecraft could see it and move out of its path.
SPACE, now with nifty backgrounds stolen from Google/NASA!
But yeah, I finally built some real Classic Space. Went for a similar building style to the Dragon, lots of studs and plates at odd angles. (Front plates use Bionicle ball joints, but I've learnt from my past uses of them and this ship is actually really sturdy.)
Probably won't keep this intact very long, this was more of a test build than anything else. This uses up literally all of my light bley plates, too. I'll probably scrap this and build another, larger ship using old grey. It just happens that the long 3x12 wedges that form the front slope only come in bley, so I ran with that.
So yeah, enjoy SPACE, comments and all that fun stuff are always welcomed!

...travelling the void in style...
This is my idea of a proper space age ride. The detached shuttle can be used for planetary excursions. With the rocket stage attached, you're ready for interstellar flights!
The original was the first big set I owned as a child. Like the Mobile Rocket Launcher before this MOC is intended to stand in line with the reimagined Galaxy Explorer.
In my opinion, every space set needs a little robot, although the original set didn't have one.
Hope you like it.
The powercell for the S.P.I.D.E.R. Drone can be accessed through the side hatches, for maintenance and replacement. These new solar storage units are a prototype for use on future NCS crafts, for interchangeable compatibility, and ease of recharging by drones on the ground (or mounted to the outside of a large space-faring vessel for emergency power).
Neo Classic Space ship
Small short-range utility spacecraft for 1 pilot. Equipped with dual engine, wide range sensors and communication arrays and light laser cannons. Main purpose - search for lost droids and machinery maintenance.
Includes two detachable vehicles under side cockpits, robot, and toolbox. Ship can be easily modified to fit 3 guys or equipped with sleeping pods, etc...
I needed something small and swooshable. I chose simple and famous theme, simple and famous shape. And then I needed to make it a little extra. Here comes slightly different color scheme and functions.
This is just a bus. It has no guns, it does not transform, not even a smallest piece of science equipement. But it will surely get you to your space job!
I needed a quick build inbetween more "serious" ones where I end up placing about 10 bricks in one hour, working to get some shape right. This in turn was initially done in about 3 hours and then +1 hour on redesign and applying... a trick. Can you spot something unusual on this build?
Bye, bye Febrovery 2018: you've been brilliant! Another month of watching clever and creative images appear in the Febrovery group. Thank to Crimso for creating this and everybody for your fun builds that brighten up a dark winter month!
I continue my series. I feel hot and boiling there! ☢️ A little Classic-space 6841 Mineral Detector Remastered, only bigger. I have tried to stay true to the functionality and structure of the original. Then added in all directions: Mini-articulated arm at the back, box to store minerals, box to crush minerals and analyze them, communication antenna, walkie-talkies, various small radars / cameras / front detectors at the front of the vehicle, small rock hammer, hand detector (which can be hung on the mini articulated arm) and various control panels.
Build with LDD software and Stud.io.

Je continue ma série. Je me sens chaud-bouillant, là !

Mark Wright has been full of mojo lately building huge fleets of Futuron style craft from age-specific parts. One of them, the CS Utility Shuttle really caught my eye with its combo of cool engines and ATV body.
I couldn't resist having a go at a redux build with more modern parts (and a custom screen) and with his permission here's the result.
Thanks Mark!
Another recolored set - but it's a bit more original than the previous...
Take the Town set 6648 , released in 1980, paint it in the color from the Space set from the same year, and here's what you get ^^
I've made some small changes to the build, because of the driver's airtank, but it stay 95 % true to the original Town set (which is totally charming ^^)
A custom blacktron build which I worked a lot on, and one of my most complex spaceship designs
It features a modern cockpit, a cargo bay which can be opened and contains 2 small containers. It’s got a bomb bay too and you can reload the bombs and even release them with a push of a button. Also there is a secret compartment in the ship with a data recorder, and for landings there are landing legs too!😎

I'm not entirely sure HOW they got the ATV in to the hangar, but it's there and it needs maintenance :)
It’s amazing how a simple household object can be warped into the colorful innards of a blackhole. I figure in a black hole even light would be torn apart. Hence all the different colors portrayed. Can’t wait to see the Lego Movie 2!

Nothing special about the photography of this one. Took it when I had a couple of minutes to kill during a late night editing session at the office. But I wanted to show everyone my latest version of Captain Kayden Robert Knight sporting his brand new dark grey Classic Space torso I recently got custom printed from minifigs.me I've always wanted a grey one and if you follow me, you know I like taking pics of Classic Space minifigs so I thought it was only natural to get this made for the Captain. They did a great job with it and I couldn't be happier! He's also sporting a new watch as well... which looks surprisingly like the new Apple Watch... hmmm... ;-) Captain's get all the good stuff!
Please let me know what you guys think! Thanks!
Enter 1994’s Saucer Scout to round out my Spyrius collection
This set felt ubiquitous as a kid. I had it, and I’m pretty sure most of my friends did too back then. It’s about as simple yet effective as LEGO can get with a spacecraft!
So for the line that gave my generation the first leg prints, with Major Kartofski, LEGO doesn’t give too much diversity among the Spyrius crew (outside of the Big One).
Enter the Spyrius-verse, anyone?
As a huge fan of Spyrius, I’m very happy to have this little set back in the collection.
More LEGO retro spaceships and rovers to be featured soon!

Further experiments in microscale. I'm going to make a few variants and choose the best candidate for fig scale.
My second entry for JerryBuildsBricks‘s #jbbclassicremake challenge!
This time I’m back to space with the revamp of the classic 6950 - Mobile Rocket Transport set. I kept all the functions, the rear section is steered by a knob at the end, the cabin can hold 3 figs, there are 2 ladders on the sides which can be lowered and of course you can launch the big rocket at any time 😉 And You can still go offroad with it
