There's plenty of Classic Space and Neo Classic Space but I thought it be fun to do something a bit more sophisticated.

In the Classy Space armada everyone is required to have a stylish mustache.

I knew if I held onto these lunar baseplates for long enough they would come in handy someday.

Those dang spacemen can rob a crate in zero gravity in thirty seconds flat, I done seen't it myself #hyuck

I'm sorry for the multiple uploads ^^ I would like to empty my stock of pictures of recolored sets, before I can sort the mess and maybe, create new MOCs ...

Spoiler : a Futuron 928 is on its way to be photographied ;-)

A Technic frame with suspension, working steering, 4 wheel drive, double V8 engine, and working flatbed to carry spaceship.

Classic Space grey greebly covering with large cab with big yellow windscreen.

Well after seeing it in Chris Giddens' stream, and again in Don's, and again in John Patrick's, I figured I would be remiss if I didn't at least try to build it.

And so I had almost all of what I needed right in my collection! Woot, or whatever the kids say these days. Almost all.

I gave up on the back end and the side rockets. There's something funky going on in the camera angle and it is impossible to tell exactly what is happening there, brickwise. I'm pretty sure this is completely wrong, though.

Still, the one thing REALLY missing is a trans yellow canopy. PLEASE LEGO! PRETTY PLEASE!!!

Look at this poor space man. He's so ashamed to be in a CS-themed ship without a trans-yellow canopy that he turned his helmet around.

The dual windscreens in 10497 gave me the idea to try to create a classic space version of my favorite Star Wars ship, the U-wing. Overall I am pretty happy with this one. I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep the functions of the U-wing but managed to get the sweeping s-foils and opening troop compartment doors (this with the addition of 2 1L axle/pins and 4 2L axle pins). All other parts come from the set. The part count comes in a little over 900. Instructions are available at rebrickablw if you'd like to build one of your own! rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-136023/Themiddlebrick/ut-928d-ga...

Apparently, you can swoosh rovers too.

(Yes, I know the original has a white figure, but I custom-made a Yellow Spaceman flashlight and all the yellow-man rovers were a bit rubbish, so I made him a 6804 so there).

One day I'll get some decent photos of these with my SLR, but for now it's more ropey phone pics. I really need a couple of tripods and a remote flash, but more importantly some actual space at home to set them out!

It's ugly, but it is oh so pretty.

At least that is what stranded and wounded pilots and travelers say. The LL-999--or "The Tub" as it is referred to--is a dependable rescue craft. Its rigid frame and very maneuverable engines and thrusters allow it to get to some of the hardest placed to rescue those that have have found the troubles of space travel. Equipped with two medical hibernation pods, it brings those weary travelers back alive.

This vehicle was totally stolen from Huw Gwilliam's Uggy buggy. I wanted to make a version that my nephew might be able to zoom and crash into skirting boards. Go and see the original here: flic.kr/p/2qLTZxS

I started the build with the cockpit.. suppose you can tell.

I took some liberty on the classic space colors.

This is another wedge shaped star fighter inspired by the star destroyer.

The Wal-Mart off 74 in Indian Trail is having a crazy sale on Galaxy Explorers - 25% off! I haven’t seen anything like that in a while so I picked up a couple. Check your local Wal-Mart!

It's Jeracs wonderful design. Normally I'd construct it my self but I have nothing to add to this beautiful creation. Blue parts however made some modifications necessary

My re-coloured versions of 928 Galaxy Explorer (1979)

Prefabricated, fully sealed outposts were one way that allowed the Federation rapid expansion onto new worlds. These surface bases provided hubs for exploratory vehicles, and often contained larger scientific instruments for analysis that would be impractical to carry on mobile laboratories. Once a planet's atmosphere had been properly measured, tested, and transformed, less stringently sealed construction could occur on the surface, and these outposts could then be recycled for further use on new frontiers.

I started this build with the idea of building something entirely studs up using large panel pieces so beloved of later classic space sets. I got quite far, but I couldn't resist when closing up the back using more modern techniques, in order to maintain certain symmetries. Still, I'm happy with how clean this build came out. I like the windows using horse hitchings! It has a full interior, which I will also try to capture.

40 years of classic space!

With that much Colonial Viper in its ancestry, it needed a snake name. Enter Hydra, the constellation of the (male) Water Snake...

The ORL originally started as low orbit racing on earth, but as the Federation expanded, so did the racing.

The ORL is comprised of both space and atmospheric racing. This necessitates both accurate thrusters and air-foils. The two largest races of the season are of course around and on the moons of Jupiter and Saturn.

The Orbital Racing League is seen as many as the unifying factor for the system. With so much of the system now colonized, the ORL brings everyone's attention to the same race.

====================================

As I have seen different creations from different builders, I have want to use many of the techniques and shapes. So I decided to make a theme of it. Stay tuned to see the different builders highlighted.

2024 is the big come back of SPACE at LEGO - from Friends to Duplo passing through Technic... but what about the classic Islanders?

Well, there you have it... Kahuka-1 on approach!

Enter 1994’s Saucer Scout to round out my Spyrius collection

This set felt ubiquitous as a kid. I had it, and I’m pretty sure most of my friends did too back then. It’s about as simple yet effective as LEGO can get with a spacecraft!

So for the line that gave my generation the first leg prints, with Major Kartofski, LEGO doesn’t give too much diversity among the Spyrius crew (outside of the Big One).

Enter the Spyrius-verse, anyone?

As a huge fan of Spyrius, I’m very happy to have this little set back in the collection.

More LEGO retro spaceships and rovers to be featured soon!

Gofals were larger cousins of the famous Pergyls, which spacemen also enjoyed riding. Although they looked fearsome, gofals were were friendly if treated with care.

Classic Space works leading antigravity technology is out on display, sleek angled lines, Dual multidirectional thrusters for a great power to weight ratio, purpose built for speed. Jenny is hoping for some clean and classic racing.

My entry for @bfg_audiophile's #BFzeroG #space #legospace league

I was pondering for a long time on which space theme to build for this. SHIPtember consumed all of my remaining black parts that would have been useful for this. I've had the cockpit idea on my table scraps shelf for a while, waiting to be used. Since I've been trying to work through my WIPs/Table scraps from years past, currently completed at least 2 so far. However i think 7 WIPs have been added on-top of my existing pile... woops. There is just too much fun to be had. Happy building!

Captain Goldborg runs U-Haul Inc. interplanetary freight and cargo shipping. No journey to small no package to big. If you have the credits he'll ship it, Animal, vegetable, mineral or all three, it's no odds to Goldborg.

Gold parts cost an arm and a leg (and he needs a replacement for his hook)!

Does what it says on the tin.

I built the first segment for displaying last time's Classic Space robot, but then I realised that maybe grey-on-grey isn't the most visibly distinctive colour scheme. But who says once you've built a scenery segment that it can only be used for one thing?

Another fun/quick build in the classic space style.

LEGO Ideas 21109 Exo Suit by Peter Reid

Built a few exo suits a while back and decided to take a few shots of one of them.

Ever since I built the camera, I had the idea of using it to take a "behind the scenes" shot of one of my other builds. So here it is :)

Made for the "Out of this World Space Builds!" contest on Ideas. Neo-CS ship, with its docking robot.

------------------------------------------------------------------THE IDEA------------------------------------------------------------------

Have you ever wondered what lies beyond the horizon of all those treacherous dunes on Classic Space box art? Well, heck if I know -- BUT I can ask you a better question: how does one get there? CERTAINLY not with 6mm offset tread wheels mind you! Legend has it, as you progress deeper and deeper into the dunes, the sediment becomes darker and redder. Some believe this is because of a rich resource which lies deep beneath it, some say it leads to treasure, and others may warn that is home to the Insectoids... Personally I think its because I only had so many options to work with for backgrounds -- BUT the answer is up to you!

------------------------------------------------------------------THE CRAWLER------------------------------------------------------------------

Back to the big question, how does one cross those dunes? Well, the nerds over at Classic Space HQ (trans-green edition) have the answer! They came up with the legendary idea of slapping the biggest tires possible on the 6901 Mobile Lab, but then quickly realized the tire itself was far bigger than the lab, so they had to resort to an increased budget. They searched far and wide for whatever traditional light gray pieces they could find and were able to create a behemoth lab crawler ready to challenge the dunes themselves. It is time to discover and research what lies beyond them!

This is just a bus. It has no guns, it does not transform, not even a smallest piece of science equipement. But it will surely get you to your space job!

I needed a quick build inbetween more "serious" ones where I end up placing about 10 bricks in one hour, working to get some shape right. This in turn was initially done in about 3 hours and then +1 hour on redesign and applying... a trick. Can you spot something unusual on this build?

Febrovery starts on Saturday. Have you been to the tyre shop yet?

The Febrovery Group is at this link flic.kr/go/hgEjw or #Febrovery2025 on Insta.

++++++++++++++++++++++++

Sadly, I've currently only one rover for Febrovery this year, though that might change. I've been (and still am) busy with some big changes to my real life. My current photographic backlog is 6 models, plus I keep building SPACESHIPS!!!

P.S. No Blu-Tack was harmed in the taking of this photograph. :D

I'm rather enjoying this microscale thing at the moment.
