It's Jeracs wonderful design. Normally I'd construct it my self but I have nothing to add to this beautiful creation. Blue parts however made some modifications necessary

Hi guys,
About a month ago, I submitted my Ideas project "Classic Space Monorail". I've been narrowly keeping track of the amount of supporters I gained each day and what methods I used to promote my project. Have a look at it: puu.sh/zzbOo/a66508c9b7.PNG
As you can see, I'm well past 100 now, but I have entered a bit of a dead zone in which no one checks out or supports your project unless you bring it back in the spotlight.
I feel I have had all places to promote my project, so now I will do another tour around the web with a second promo. If anyone has suggestions on where to promote this, or has 'connections', I'd gladly hear about them!
Right now I have 447 followers. I don't want to push too hard, but... would it be unreasonable to ask for at least 100 new supporters following this message? :)

Man, these little guys are a ton of fun to build. Kinda tough to photograph, but worth it.
Inspired by Crimso Giger, halfbeak, and 81941.
Thanks to Rivet for letting me borrow his yellow CS astronaut!

This is set 6820 , released in 1986, recolored in the classic Blue/Grey color scheme.
This was actually the first recolored set I've made, since I've started to rebuild my collection of space sets in 2020.
Not my best... but I hope the psychedelic backgrounds make those uploads a bit interesting ^^
For Simon L and David R. Actually I don't know why I didn't think of this in the 1st place...

I took three different photos, well, actually a lot more, but I narrowed them down to three...
My latest and best mech yet! =)

Sadly, I've currently only one rover for Febrovery this year, though that might change. I've been (and still am) busy with some big changes to my real life. My current photographic backlog is 6 models, plus I keep building SPACESHIPS!!!
P.S. No Blu-Tack was harmed in the taking of this photograph. :D
When the Giant Galactic Glass (3G) company produced their windscreen #13252 in Transparent Yellow, designers across galaxy were very excited. 3G's product allowed unparalleled bandwidths of light to pass through, creating amazing experiences for users of mobile space stuff (or that's what their brochures said). Llwyngwril Systems were commissioned to use the new component in a surface vehicle. The Design Director crossed the car park to shed where the vehicle design team were based with heavy heart and this rover was the result.
The rover featured large balloon tyres and suspension with big springs and a long range of travel. This enabled it to traverse the roughest, rockiest craters on the lunar surface. Two large floodlights were mounted on the front of the rover, along with twin bull-bars, in case of a cattle stampede (On the moon? Really?). A radar was also mounted on the front of the cabin. This last piece of equipment was essential.
The vehicle's designers were very afraid of the large, expensive canopy being damaged. They decided to mount it in a manner that would protect it from flying rocks and other debris, though this did result in a somewhat restricted view for the driver. A second crewman sat in the back to help the driver find his way over rugged terrain, at high speed.
The rover was never popular with its crews, despite its high speed, comfortable ride and spacious, pressurised cabin. The driver's restricted view resulted in frequent crashes. As there were no cup holders, mugs of English Breakfast and Yorkshire tea were spilled all around the cabin. If you've ever spilt tea in your car, you'll know that it will smell like bad cheese for weeks afterwards. Crews were forced to either drink their tea black or wear their spacesuits with the helmets closed to keep the cheesy smell out.

As soon as I saw this windscreen on the Lego Movie "Spaceship!", I knew exactly which way round it really should have gone...

The pinnacle of Federation design, The LL-928 Galaxy Explorer lasted generations longer than virtually any other craft. Its combination of speed, power, and adaptability made it not just a perennial favourite amongst Federation pilots, but also a symbol of the Federation's mission as a whole.
Proudly presenting instructions for a studless Galaxy Explorer which you can build at home. Even if you don't buy them, would be a huge hlep to me if you checked them out, and gave them a like and comment. Designed to fit in with my design for the LL-925, it uses 99%+ modern parts, all of them common, so this should be as painless and cheap to put together as possible! It's a light bley version of my LL-929, which is itself an homage to Peter Reid's evergreen LL-497, and has 1212 parts in total. It's *very* sturdy and swooshable!
I built in a lot of play features - working landing gear, a rover which can be contained in the back, swivelling rear doors like the original, and also the original a rear folding hatch, and roof which hinges up.
Scott Kirkwood and I have embarked on a project to recreate the entire Classic Space line in micro scale. Here's what we have so far.
Over the next week I'll post shots of my individual creations, and then more slowly as I continue to expand the collection. Scott will be doing the same over on his photostream, so check it out so get a closer look at his creations.
Our two main goals are to make the micro sets as accurate as possible, and to not use any modded or custom bricks, with one exception; We are going to use custom labels in place of painted bricks. We feel it's alright to use a sticker in place of what was paint on the original sets. Scott's been printing the awesome decals. For the most part Scott is focusing on the bases and small open cockpit ships, while I've focused on the larger ships and land based vehicles. This has already been a rewarding building experience, but so far we've really only scratched the surface of Classic Space. There's so much more to come.
How many sets do you recognize?

The 1x1 round plate with Classic Space Logo is custom printed.
After a floor extension, the backdrop is now big enough to surround this ship. She's parked quite close to the wall, though.
This is just a bus. It has no guns, it does not transform, not even a smallest piece of science equipement. But it will surely get you to your space job!
I needed a quick build inbetween more "serious" ones where I end up placing about 10 bricks in one hour, working to get some shape right. This in turn was initially done in about 3 hours and then +1 hour on redesign and applying... a trick. Can you spot something unusual on this build?
Remote research station LL928 stationed in the Centarus region supports deep space scientific research. The station is staffed by a compliment of 14 spacemen and includes barracks, science lab, and a communication and control bridge.
-
Unfortunately the Outpost only sleeps 5 men so the Spacemen work in 3 shifts and "hot bunk". Often 2-4 team members are on local away expeditions making life a little easier for those staying at the station base.
-
The staff is comprised of:
-
1 station commanding officer, CO
1 chief engineering officer, XO
1 chief science and operations officer, COO
1 medical officer
1 system engineer
1 mechanical engineer
1 security officer
7 science officers (various specialties)

Looking to upgrade the ground clearance and suspension on your old, Classic Space era rover? Look no further!
This simple conversion kit from Llwyngwril Systems' Vehicle Design Department will transform your old buggy.

I thought that I'd build the sort of thing that I usually build in LDD for Febrovery but in real bricks and not in February.

New Space Hangar - Area 78
Finally ready. Spaceship based on Nick Trotta's Elfire. "Handplants" seen by Marcel V.
Prefabricated, fully sealed outposts were one way that allowed the Federation rapid expansion onto new worlds. These surface bases provided hubs for exploratory vehicles, and often contained larger scientific instruments for analysis that would be impractical to carry on mobile laboratories. Once a planet's atmosphere had been properly measured, tested, and transformed, less stringently sealed construction could occur on the surface, and these outposts could then be recycled for further use on new frontiers.
I started this build with the idea of building something entirely studs up using large panel pieces so beloved of later classic space sets. I got quite far, but I couldn't resist when closing up the back using more modern techniques, in order to maintain certain symmetries. Still, I'm happy with how clean this build came out. I like the windows with horse hitchings! It has a full interior, which I will also try to capture.

Everybody needs more exercising, even on the moon.

During the early days of the Civil Space Police, they fielded the Solar Vanguard, a hybrid interceptor/perp transport.
The Solar Vanguard was mostly used on sleepy backwater worlds to apprehend rogue Blacktron agents committing minor offenses such as jay-walking, spitting, and public drunkeness.
Quick, well-armed, and holding an internal single holding cell, this is one Space Police craft not to take lightly.
This little fella needed a spaceship so I built one with the parts of set 71772. The minifigure is from series 22 and has a unique purple classic space torso. The dark pink windscreen is also unique. The three wings can retract to make it more compact when landed. If people like this I might create digital instructions for it later.
Classic Space - Benny's Cruiser, Cruiser, CRUISER! After the ending of the Movie Benny slimmed down his SSS to about half the size and weight while upgrading two of the engines. He now has a sleeker "Cruiser" that is twice as fast. He is currently working on another project with the rest of SSS but further information is not available at this time.
Side note: This is about half of the SSS set. Project #2 will be started soon.
We're all familiar with the tale of how the brave spacemen of Classic Space spread peace throughout the galaxy using tea and cake. We've all seen the blockbuster movie, we've all bought the souvenir mug, we've all polished the novelty cake plate that we inherited from Great Aunt Agatha.
Shown in these archive photos is the Vic Viper Tea Tanker, used for high speed deliveries of refreshing brews. These were particularly effective at distracting the Little Green Men when they got bored and decided to sacrifice another victim to the Claw.
Due to its urgent mission and high speed, the VV TT was painted with orange hi-vis panels, in order that other spacecraft could see it and move out of its path.
SPACE, now with nifty backgrounds stolen from Google/NASA!
But yeah, I finally built some real Classic Space. Went for a similar building style to the Dragon, lots of studs and plates at odd angles. (Front plates use Bionicle ball joints, but I've learnt from my past uses of them and this ship is actually really sturdy.)
Probably won't keep this intact very long, this was more of a test build than anything else. This uses up literally all of my light bley plates, too. I'll probably scrap this and build another, larger ship using old grey. It just happens that the long 3x12 wedges that form the front slope only come in bley, so I ran with that.
So yeah, enjoy SPACE, comments and all that fun stuff are always welcomed!
