Here is a baby replica of the latest iteration of the LEGO Galaxy Explorer set 10497. It still has the main play features of the original set just down sized. Pop off canopy, steering wheels, opening rear end with boarding ramp, airlock sliding door and last but not least ride on booster engines!
This was a blast to build. And was inspired by the builds @troublesbricking made while I was travelling Europe. While on holiday I managed to track down this squad of space babies so that when I got as soon as I got back from holiday I could get into building this moc.

A couple of Raptors came down the line for #Mechtober 2021. This model is the Ice Planet 2002 Defroster. With a heat ray cannon on top, ready to contribute to climate change!
Last upload of my series of recolored Space sets. Obviously I had to finish with the King, the (true) Galaxy Explorer !
What willl follow ? More personnal MOCs - but probably only in a few weeks, I'm still sorting the mess, and also I must decide what to build - too many ideas right now ^^
Here my latest MOC: a spaceship in LEGO Friends Style, based on the brilliant cockpit concept of topdesigner for LEGO spaceships Peter Peter L. Morris.
I also created building instructions. You can download them for free, the only thing I would kindly ask to you is to support my LEGO IDEAS Project Queen Elizabeth II referenced in the instructions. I think this would be fair enough as download price. :-)

Yes - It's time for a new entry in my never-ending run of reduxxed MTron Beacon Tracers. This one is kinda Chibi, and I like that for it.

The spacemen of Classic Space asked Llwyngwril Systems to design a two-seat, all terrain vehicle. The design team immediately ran off with the research budget and blew it all on chocolate Hobnobs, Yorkshire Gold, some milk and new kettle. Two years later and the Big Foot emerged. It has since been speculated that the plans for the vehicle were drawn in haste on the inside of a old biscuit wrapper.
Despite its inauspicious beginnings, the Big Foot proved to be a fun mode of transport. It was especially popular for flolloping and volluing across the swamps of Sqornshellous Zeta. Our archive images show spacemen traversing a particularly muddy puddle.
just a quick build,
I wanted to do something neo old-school because of the 30th anniversary of Classic-Space
so this came out,
The pilot is a squinklorian squid, that once joined the federation.

Neo Classic Space ship
Small short-range utility spacecraft for 1 pilot. Equipped with dual engine, wide range sensors and communication arrays and light laser cannons. Main purpose - search for lost droids and machinery maintenance.
Includes two detachable vehicles under side cockpits, robot, and toolbox. Ship can be easily modified to fit 3 guys or equipped with sleeping pods, etc...
I needed something small and swooshable. I chose simple and famous theme, simple and famous shape. And then I needed to make it a little extra. Here comes slightly different color scheme and functions.
Here are the 20 sets that represent LEGO SPACE bases. I have happily owned the Spyrius Lunar Launch Site 6959 since it came out, remember playing with a friend's Futuron Cosmic Laser Launcher 6953 and my nephew had a Squidman's Pitstop 5980. Besides those sets I have no experience besides drooling over catalog pics of the other LEGO SPACE bases. Any comments on these great sets?
Nostalgia Factory discussion here.
Yeah, we're moving soon. This house is where PCS started, and where that era ends. Been a lot of MOCs built here, and a lot of friends build out there. All that will continue, just a few miles closer to Atlanta. Holy cow I gotta pack all this crap up.
Another flying wing MOC. I built the original MOC a while back but was never happy with the cockpit, I updated it this evening and am happy with it now.
My little ode to the forgotten space theme SeaTron, featuring a vibrant alien coral reef and a sleek Futuron ship and landing platform, with designs inspired by the cancelled LEGO space theme.
Would very much appreciate your support and shares!

Take an 'old' set and build an updated version.
My entry, an update of Classic Space Solar Power Transporter, one of my all-time favorites.
Now for something a little different from my normal Bionicle stuff!
One of my main goals in building this was to incorporate Bionicle parts into the build in some way. Partly because I had a shortage of system parts but mostly cause Bionicle is awesome.
One thing I had no shortage of when building this was inspiration. Peter Reid and Nick Trotta instantly jump to mind, but there are countless others. Also huge thank you to Simon not only for the inspiration but for giving me some parts needed to finish this bad boy off!
Happy belated Brunktöberfest!
This was a quick LEGO vignette I shot right before my 40th birthday, which was October 27. That's right, Baron von Brunk is officially 40 years old.
This was a last minute creation. I made the giant numbers four and zero with grey and blue for Classic Space colors, and added the greebling to make them a bit more futuristic. Then I placed on top of them some original Space minifigures with drinks; you'll notice the blue ones wear the incorrect helmets, since I don't have any originals in blue. Then I shot the photo on top of a piece of black plexiglass in front of a black background.
For my birthday weekend I drove back to my hometown of Lancaster, PA to visit some friends. I went to a Halloween bonfire party then had a hibachi dinner on the 27th. I also visited some flea markets and picked up a lot of vintage LEGO sets still in their original packages.
Here's to another 40 years of causing a ruckus!
Setting myself some building rules and limitations got me out of a bout of builder's block a while back, and saw the emergence of Hover Car Racers.
Not built anything for ages so set myself the challenge of putting another HCR vehicle together.
Here are the "rules" I set myself when building one of these:
- bold colour scheme
- a whiff of 'muscle car'
- some asymmetry
- enclosed cockpit
This one obviously grabs a chunk of inspo from Classic Space, but also benefited from a few references to the DeLorean from Back To The Future.
First proper MOC I've built for ages. Hope you enjoy it.
Be the envy of all of your alien friends with Llwyngwril Systems' latest adaptation for Classic Space rovers!
An excellent upgrade for all spacemen wanting to increase their view, traverse tricky terrain or blend in with the locals.
*NB This chassis does not actually feature a square wheel, despite its name but caterpillar tracks in a square shape. Llwyngwril Systems will not refund any disappointed/confused customers.

Despite it being one of the hottest days of the year so far, I had that Febrovery feeling.
Did you know that the red light on this rover was a radiation warning device? It was known to drivers as the "Crimson Geiger"...
The CATT (Configurable All-Terrain Truck) is a modular space vehicle designed for easily changing attachments and features for different capabilities. This configuration includes a front winch, top lighting and sensors, and a rear 6x6 cargo area with a lift gate.
I also have a longer four-seat variant (CATT-4) awaiting photos, and several ideas for other cargo/utility configurations.
This little ship sure got some attention last year!. It seems the site Brick Fanatics made it their Pic of the Day back in December. There's also a blog! a....one line.... blog... but... a blog all the same :)

Unfortunately the astronaut did not survive.
The ship is a small alt build for 10497 Galaxy Explorer.
The Classic Space gang is horrified to find a yellow (otherwise known in the LEGO world as naked) fellow spaceman! And poor Yellow Spaceman doesn't seem to be very amused.
I don't know about you guys but I've always found the yellow spaceman to be the odd one out. Right? Think about it a yellow-skin person wearing a spacesuit in the same color. Weird. ;-)
Behind the Scenes: Aside from the my view on the yellow classic spaceman, it was also inspired by eyescream54 's very funny photo here: www.flickr.com/photos/103785493@N05/14653567720 I want to make sure I give credit where credit is deserved.
