This display was fun!
In the 1st picture in the comments, you can basically see the set up. When you 1st walk up you don't realize that the statue in the middle arch is alive.
She was marvelous! Totally mesmerizing! Her movements were so graceful and fluid......sort of like she was doing veeeeeery slow T'ai Chi.

This is a photo I took inside Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, located at the heart of Vancouver’s historic Chinatown neighbourhood. This Ming Dynasty-style garden-home is the first among its kind to have been built outside of China, and is the result of a joint collaborative effort of community members, the Canadian Government, and the People’s Republic of China. We started off being part of a guided tour around the gardens, but it was a hot day and we soon started to suffer from information fatigue so we peeled off from the others and simply enjoyed the peace and quiet.

I spent the afternoon at the Crocker Art Museum, attending a classical piano concert. Andrei Baumann played Sonata in A Minor, D. 784 by Franz Schubert and Miroirs by Maurice Ravel. I can check this off my 40 B4 40 list!

It’s been years since I attended a classical concert, so I had no idea what one wears. As evidenced by the crowd at a 3 pm performance, smart casual is the uniform of choice. But I did see one couple in formal wear. I imagine they were going someplace fancy afterwards.

"Photographing Women Models: Portrait, Swimsuit, Lingerie, Boudoir, Fine Art, & Fashion Photography Exalting the Venus Goddess Archetype"
My dear friend Yulia handed me her vintage screwmount Leica iiif for a couple of days, so I got a chance to try this terrific camera.
It was of a huge interest for me, as basically the screwmount Leica is the first compact 35mm film camera in the history of photography! Sure, it has seen a few upgrades since Leica I (aka Standard), but essentially it was the same camera.
Overall, I liked the Leica iiif very much. It's a very small, quiet, discrete and convenient camera. It's smaller and has a sturdier chrome finish than my own Leica M6.
Leica iiif has separate viewfinder/rangefinder windows. You focus in one window with a huge 1.5x magnification (that's super nice!). Then you compose in another window (alas, no parallax correction). I had no problems in doing all that, even on wide apertures.
Then there are two separate shutter speed disks - one for slow speeds 1-1/15 seconds, and another for normal speeds 1/25 - 1/1000. As I never use tripods with rangefinders, normal shutter speeds were just enough. Moreover, it's nice to have a 1/25 speed, which is perfectly handholdable and 1/3 EV brighter than the usual 1/30.
Finally, you have to trim a long end on the film roll before inserting it into the Leica iiif. Clerk in the film lab instantly recognised the trimmed roll as being exposed with the screwmount Leica camera!

First pullip. Expect lots of Alice pictures! She quickly became one if my favorite dolls, and one of my favorite dolls to photograph. I got her from PullipStyle.com with a dent box, as I didn't care for the box, only Alice and her accessories, and I was planning to take her out of packaging from the start so I saved a couple of dollars there(even though it took me 5 minutes to find such dent that I hardly think of it as one. Such a non-problem being taken into consideration by the retailer really shows the high quality of service from PullipStyle).
Over-all review of Alice: She's mine hands off! Kidding aside lovely, and looks a lot like the drawings of Alice in Through The Looking-Glass, with a bit of pimped up attributes here and there making her a one of a kind variation. The wig has a good scent to it, so it won't get a foul odor on the clothing and accessories. It has no bald spots and you can't see the seams of the wig unless you push the hair over. It is a nice thin(dimensions matter!), polyester I believe, hair, with quite minute frizzing. Almost none, but making the hair look more natural. Her curls are not stiff, and incredibly soft. The company(Groove) used a very very high quality spray, that can't be noticed practically at all when touching the hair, to help keep the curls in their designated design. The curls are easily fixed with only moist fingers. Great doll, but very delicate. I've never been more careful with a doll than Alice.

First pullip. Expect lots of Alice pictures! She quickly became one if my favorite dolls, and one of my favorite dolls to photograph. I got her from PullipStyle.com with a dent box, as I didn't care for the box, only Alice and her accessories, and I was planning to take her out of packaging from the start so I saved a couple of dollars there(even though it took me 5 minutes to find such dent that I hardly think of it as one. Such a non-problem being taken into consideration by the retailer really shows the high quality of service from PullipStyle).
Over-all review of Alice: She's mine hands off! Kidding aside lovely, and looks a lot like the drawings of Alice in Through The Looking-Glass, with a bit of pimped up attributes here and there making her a one of a kind variation. The wig has a good scent to it, so it won't get a foul odor on the clothing and accessories. It has no bald spots and you can't see the seams of the wig unless you push the hair over. It is a nice thin(dimensions matter!), polyester I believe, hair, with quite minute frizzing. Almost none, but making the hair look more natural. Her curls are not stiff, and incredibly soft. The company(Groove) used a very very high quality spray, that can't be noticed practically at all when touching the hair, to help keep the curls in their designated design. The curls are easily fixed with only moist fingers. Great doll, but very delicate. I've never been more careful with a doll than Alice.
