After a brief hiatus at the end of 2011 and beginning of 2012, the Venice Boulevard bike lane adjacent CIM Group's Mid-city Crossing project makes a glorious return.
Butterley Reservoir is the most distinguishing feature of both the area and of the Midland Railway, which crosses the expanse of water on a causeway. The reservoir dates back to 1794 when it was constructed to serve the Cromford Canal. It now serves as a major recreation area, frequented by anglers, ramblers, twitchers and gricers! The reservoir is well stocked for anglers as well as being a haven for birds. It is a peaceful place, hardly disturbed even by the passage of a train on the causeway. Arguably, the drifting smoke from the chimney of Ivatt Class 2MT No. 46521 adds to the feeling of tranquility, along with the reflection in the reservoir. It is engaged in a Martin Creese (30742 Charters) photographic charter on herd March 2014. Copyright John Whitehouse-all rights reserved

Miss my flickr brothers and sisters, I have not been good with the upload because I have been busy with projects and jobs, thought I owe you guys an explanation and apology:) I have been working a lot , trying my hands in different fields:) One of my job is working as a grass roots NGO person for an environmental organisation called 'Roots and Shoots' in my hometown Dandong. The above picture was taken a month ago, the kids in the picture are all my students and friends, I told them about flickr and learning all the photography tips from you guys, so they want to say hi to their teacher's teachers:)
Hope you are all well, it is winter now, please do wrap up warm and watch out the cold:)
