I have a great fondness for shunters and there are probably no two finer examples in preservation than this pair at Loughborough, Class 08 13101 (later D3101) and Class 10 10119 (D4067) 'Margaret Ethel - Thomas Alfred Naylor'.

Class 10 shunter number D3489 named "Colonel Tomline" built at Darlington in 1958. Thanks to all the volunteers for a very enjoyable day out as usual and especially for letting me take photos in the cab.

With the sunsetting, it was time for a quick few photos at Podkova on 25 October 2018 prior to returning back a few stops to Momchilgrad for the night. 10034 with 10033 behind will form train 40268, 18:40 Podkova to Momchilgrad.
An evening shot with an Instamatic showing D4056 parked outside the shed at NCB Shilbottle one day in May 1978, which I've tried to lighten up a bit.
Shilbottle Colliery was connected to the ECML just south of Alnmouth. As with nearby Whittle Colliery, dieselisation came in the early 70s with some class 10s withdrawn from BR. Most of these were given an NCB livery and number as they got overhauled at Lambton Workshops, but the exception was D4056 which worked at Shilbottle from 1973 until about 1977 when it was sidelined and gradually cannibalised for spares, being cut up on site here in 1983 after the colliery closed.
BR Blue Class 10, 10119 (D4067) is seen outside Loughborough (Great Central Railway) Locomotive Shed on 7th September 2013.
10119 "Margaret Ethel-Thomas Alfred Naylor" seen on the shed at Loughborough alongside D8098. Two Darlington built locos together in preservation!
The nearside driving position of BR Class 10 diesel shunter D4067 - the controls are duplicated on the other side.
The following is added more as a reminder to myself!!
To start : switch 2 contact breakers up, one each side outside in boxes, then with starter switch (not seen here - detachable handle kept in cupboard) in "start-up" position manually pump - lever behind camera, gauge top right - oil pressure up to 20-25psi & when engine started switch to "Run".
To move: depress deadman's foot pedal, shift lever to desired direction of travel, pull power controller slowly to left until a click is heard & loco will move slowly away, notch up to move faster (although max speed is 20mph!). If lever pulled too quickly into higher position & no click is heard the loco will not move.
Oh and before you do any of this you have to transfer the fuel from the main tank to the smaller service tank by manually pumping it using the red lever.
Preserved BR/Blackstone Class "10" 350 hp 0-6-0 shunter No.D3452 (never renumbered in "10" series) in BR black livery at Bodmin General, Bodmin & Wenford Railway, 08/95. Scanned photograph taken with a Canon AE-1 Program.
Another view at Loughborough shows how exciting the locomotive collection on the Great Central Railway is. The sole steam example in this picture is (far left) BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 92214 with Class 45 D123 in front. Class 31 D5830 is seen in rare 'Golden Ochre' livery with Class 20 D8098, Class 08 13101 and Class 10 10119.

Like the rest of the Class 10s, D4067 was withdrawn before it got renumbered, so I suppose 10119 denotes the 119th Class 10. It is pictured in the yard at Loughbough, on the Great Central Railway, on October 6th 2012.
