Its darkened glass and no interior tells you immediately that this isn't a standard Majorette Chevrolet Silverado. That black glazing skilfully hides its light and sound mechanism which activates once the model is pressed down, simple but effective and as its sealed for life I'm assuming the battery should do its job for many years to come.

Not too accurate using a German Fire livery on such a blatantly American vehicle but lets not forget its target audience which isn't a fickle and fussy adult like myself. Part of a five vehicle set found recently in TK Maxx who are one rare U.K. retailer that hasn't yet succumbed to all this HTI generic madness!

Shown here parked in front of my place of business in 1984 is the company pickup truck. The first year for the redesigned front sheet metal of the 1981 to 1987 Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks. During the run of this body style there were many combinations of grilles, headlight doors, number of headlamps and placement of the park and turn signal lamps. I always thought that this was the best and after that each minor yearly face lift they just messed with a good thing. They made millions of this body style and it proved to be a very popular and reliable truck. I certainly enjoyed mine while I owned it.
