I've never quite understood why General Motors makes two competing pickup truck lines. Seriously. Aside from cosmetic details, what's the difference between these two? Why would somebody choose one over the other? If any truck fan out there can provide an answer, I'd be glad to hear from you.

OASIS SPRING -SWEETWATER TRIBUNE
2:23 PM Monday 1/6/2020
Sweetwater County sheriff's office Deputy Glenn Musk took an report from a NMDOT work of a hit and run crash just south of Cruces Exit on I-25 .
It is late afternoon on this Friday Jan 20 ,2017 we see Bortz Enterprises contracted workers ,walking out of Deadman mine. They just spent most of day down in mine shafts looking for items that could belong to late 1800s gang called Ivy gang it was terrorizing the southern NM and many think that loot from that gang is in this mine. So after many years of investigating Bortz Enterprises hired a team in late 2016 to explore this mine .They found some things ,but no word yet what was found ,but after four days and using many types of equipment it might be something interesting .
Bortz.Enterprise is own by Former Sheriff and former County commissioner Thomas " Tom " Bortz . Tom thinks in one of these old mines are were the gold bars ,money from many stage coach and bank/train robberies back in 1880s/90s in Hazzard Range county and surrounding counties.
By few records that are left from that time Sheriff Davis Dallas ( first sheriff of the county ) thought they were connection to Sadie Ivy and her gang . The Ivy gang as they where called terrorist Hazzard Range county and rest of southewest for years .The gang was believed to ones shot and killed a Saloon owner in Lake Valley NM ( A real life ghost town in Sierra County NM ,but story is fictional ). She was arrested in 1899 ,but escape Jail in 1900 ,she died in 1901 in shoot out with Hazzard range county sheriff's office Deputies ( 3 ) one of the deputies Randy Turner later recounted ,that Journal was found on her that said her gangs loot was in one of old mines in Lobo Mts .The Dendman mins closed in 1898 when Sadie's brother was found dead in his office ,so many think the gang might had something to do with that also . We might never know full story ,but we might be getting closer to finding it !!
Note Lobo means wolf in Spanish

On this Monday August 19th ,2024 we see Oasis Springs public works workers looking at yet another pothole from yet another waterline leak . That was repaired a few times already, but now a sinkhole is forming. With some state and federal funding on hand work has got started, but it's a big catch up game from decades of doing little to nothing and funds the city has will only go so far . So more funding will be needed ,but so many other places in NM need it also and the city strap for funding itself. Most residents know it’s going to be very long time , before springs are not from leaking water lines
Oasis Springs is the county seat of Sweetwater County
