This is another photo that has been sitting in my "READY TO POST" folder way too long. I've been trying to clear those folders out over the summer months. This was taken on a vaction to the Elkins, West Virginia area in July 2010. I'm sharing the other related photos in the comments section below.

If you want to take the scenic route up a mountain along a picturesque river, the Durbin and Greenbrier Railroad in Elkins, West Viriginia, is a good choice.

This particular excursion was 4 hours round trip, following the Cheat River up a mountain to the "High Falls of Cheat". The train stops there for 45 minutes, offering time to explore and photograph the falls.

Yeah, so... I cheated with this one as well. But I like it. It's quite filled with contrasts, and pretty peaceful as well. I have another picture from this little trip I took down to my local beach(with temperatures of about 0 degrees celsius...), but that will have to wait for another day!
