I'm working on inking pages for The Card Cheat pitch. Now and again you hit a panel that worked at the pencil stage, but as you talk and make your way through a different point in development, you realize that it just doesn't work anymore.
PRESTO! Instant redrawn panel. I don't really do this too often in the process, but somethings you just have to spend the extra time when ideas change.
After yet another hearty lunch, we hiked back this afternoon on the low tide. A few weary souls were assisted with their return. I seriously considered having a twisted ankle, but made it.
Check out table 42: the unfortunate abdul_38 has been tricked into a 69 point match by Alex Barenboim. The match points mysteriously switched to 69 once the victim clicked 'start', and table privatised so that no one can see the inevitable stalling!
As usual, it is a long match......this one lasted 16 hours before Abdul had to go to work, and Barenboim got his precious rating points towards his quest for an elusive 3500 maximum rating.
Note also that the sinister Barenboim has another ID in the lounge, ready to win by forfeit should his opponent get disconnected!
As Abdul so poignantly laments....'What a disgrace to this beautiful and ancient game'. To which we can all echo 'Yes.....Mr. Barenboim is'
Evidently, the way they get the show cows hooves to look so nice is to spraypaint them. Here, the evidence.
He hugs her deeply, and she returns, but inside she can't stop thinking of how she cheated last night.
Tom was walking toward me through the cemetery and all I could think about is how he cheated Death last summer. It made me very, very happy.

I cheated in this picture. There's really nothing nature-related about it. It was taken at a rest area along the I-76 (or the Turnpike).

I love sushi, but I'm not gonna lie- I find making the rolls pretty tedious. So, this is my cheater sushi or - Chirashi to sound fancy and less lazy. Sushi rice, lettuce, cucumber matchsticks, shredded carrot and a rice wine vinegar dressing.
