Up a tree!! This dragonfly was pretty big and was dive bombing me in the garden it wouldn't stop anywhere for me to get a good shot at it except up this tree, so with my head stuck in branches and leaves I managed to get this shot of it, although it was in a difficult position to photograph. The things we do eh ;) View LARGE On Black
I think a few ants bit my legs while I was getting this shot. Little opportunists.
I think it was worth it though; I like the way this shot is framed. I would have preferred the light to be a bit softer but when you're walking the dog at 15:30 you're bound to have harsh lighting.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

Starring Gerard Butler, Chasing Mavericks is very interesting. I arrive at this shore from the home by a train in 50 minutes. As for the next, Mavericks may meet me. Have a nice weekend!
After the warm sunset I was planning to return home. So I put down my camera. The twilight was forming such an incredible scene where every little moment was seemed to be lined up in a row. City lights were on. Moments were flowing. How can i stop myself from chasing this moment when nature gives us every instant incredible wonders!!
I was out yesterday chasing rainbows (forecast storms never made it north alas!) and passed the site of my last post.
I expected it to be dry, but the recent rains seem to have kept this small pond topped up. Impressive clouds and little rain
195 / 366 / I see the world in blues and greys,
but I'm chasing color
Maybe I’ll find it one day
All I wanted is to be
something better
So why can’t I just make the change
I'm very pleased to announce that I will be having my second solo photography exhibition this autumn - early days to be promoting it I know, but a date for the diary for my local contacts? ;o))
I love these falls on Mill Creek along the Hawks Nest Rail Trail. Even with the drab winter landscape they make such a beautiful picture.

Early August 2023...
Storms were predicted & delivered right after midnight. Severe Warned for high winds & hail... This was a sculptured outflow dominate storm. I learned a long time ago doing night storm photography that you have some extra light to make this happen. Not the light from the storm but I use the city lights to help paint the sky.
Sitting now on the so called edge of the city (always expanding). One the few last places I can get good clear view of the sky to the west without power-lines... Probably the last year I can take snaps from this location since there is construction going on all around.
I forgot one of my nice 4k cams with extra sensitivity for night... Figures I had everything ready but forgot to load the battery. Cam in hand I went to town with this set of images with this most impressive ominous overnight shelf cloud. This was an Night Time Eye Candy Storm. What a beauty!

Though all of our planning had us hoping for an epic chase day, but mother nature had other plans...
Traveled to western Nebraska to wait for the initiation of severe storms either in the Northeast section of Colorado or where the cape and moisture signatures were predicted for that afternoon and evening. We had our hopes up. The CAP would prevent any development of storms for us that day...
We had to move from eastern Colorado down to Northwest Kansas. Where....Finally thunderstorm initiation started just to the south of St. Francis Kansas. Not many pics from this set but it was good pickens for a bust chase day!
