Lived the joy that starlight brings
Dreamt and slept in Saturns rings
Spent some time chasing cars
And layed the night counting stars
Tread carefully on your travels
Be at peace as your world unravels
Lasting friends you shall make
Of the ones you have do not foresake
Find the love that you have shown
Leave your scent where your spell has flown
Let moonbeams dance within your eyes
Remember me and starlite skies
And in he heart when all shines bright
The shooting star will catch my sight
While chasing cars and counting stars
Beneath the heavens, those moments ours

My best pal bouncing her way back to me through a field of wheat after chasing a hare…unsuccessful but clearly a whole lot of fun!
Possibly the best walk ever….again!
Trying to capture a flitting and darting Zebra Longwing Butterfly with a handheld long lens can be very challenging and frustrating. My shooting ratio (attrition rate) for this "chase" is 20:1. Arggggh! :(
The Zebra Longwing, Heliconius charitonia (Linnaeus), was designated the state butterfly of Florida in 1996.

I missed most of the peak time for heather this year. However, I did manage to pop up to Stanage one school night, when there seemed like there might be a tiny break in the cloud cover. For once, I was right 😊 The light lasted for about 3 minutes! Or maybe a little bit more but whilst I was still in flap mode 😁
Bamford Edge is seen in the mid-ground, with Win Hill the little pimple in the distance.
A phone shot whilst looking for the elusive Hare. Early morning sunrays penetrating the low hanging mist on a cold morning.

The title is actually deceitful, at Mer Bleue, there is no reason to chase the chickadees, just hold you hand out and wait a minute. They'll arrive to collect their toll.
After a couple hours of chipping ice this morning, I ventured out to meet my folks and brother for breakfast and after a quick pit stop at their place to pick up my new winter coat (yay, thanks for finding my size Mom) and visiting with Moki, I ventured out to Mer Bleue for a bit of a walk.
The crispy ice made the walk a bit difficult, but I ran into Gord there and enjoyed the company while we searched for a porcupine. We found him, but we way too high up for a good shot, but still, mission success!
Afterwards, I ran a couple errands and came home to finish chipping the ice away.
It was a mild day, and I'm glad I got to spend the majority of it outside.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

I was wandering through Wyoming and found a large heard of bison chasing something not seen with human eyes. I was able to find a pull off ahead of the herd and luckily was able to get to my rig in time to snap off a few frames.
Happy Caturday my Flickr Friends 😺😸😹😻😼😽

Experiencing dynamic weather in the rough terrains of Ladakh has been one of my favorite things in the visits done so far.
In this shot - Mountains full of manganese, a stream, some autumn colors in trees and that light in the far mountain ahead .. why I enjoy landscape photography so much :)
An early Morning paddle on the Gasconade River in the Ozarks of Missouri. One can just see a beaver in water in front of the kayak. The beaver was unplanned, he just popped up while the photo was being taken.

This photograph is dedicated to Samuele, a very kind person who I didn't meet long ago, but who has already become a friend to me.
I would like to thank him for the beautiful testimonial he has written; while looking for the words to write for him, I thought this was a nice way to say 'thank you'.
I'll visit your photostreams tonight, have a beautiful Monday everyone!

On the Darling Downs where I live always worth driving through the storms on the escarpment west particularly with the setting sun, always different with the most beautiful light on these wonderful open black soil plains where the top soils go down to and past 60 feet. A particularly fertile part of Australia.
I took this photo few hours after the photo I posted earlier ("Waiting for the auroras"). It was my first night trying to photograph auroras borealis. Quite a painful learning curve, to be honest...

On the last day of my Clouds 365 Project, I took my family out storm chasing. We ended driving 8 hours from Dallas to Guymon, Oklahoma to intercept the only storm of the day. What a day it was. I got the image I wanted to end my 5 year project. I captured this one just in case. Hope you enjoy!
"Chasing Light" - Basking in the last of the morning light. A simple capture of light and autumn warmth on my journey through nature.
