.. but catching the moon.
Yesterday's moonset. We were too early to get a good glimpse on the milky way, but the moon and clouds gave their best to make up for it!

I'm better, so much better now
I see the lights touch the light?
We're together now
I'm better, so much better now
Look to the skies
Give me life

We just wrapped up one of our 4-day Storm Chasing Workshops in Southern Arizona. Even though the monsoon hasn't been really active this year, we were able to find amazing storms each night and capture lots of lightning, dramatic sunsets, rainbows, and crazy clouds. On this particular night, our storm chase brought us all the way down to a remote corner of the Mexican border. At sunset, the sky exploded and about half the group photographed the highway while the other half focused on capturing the lightning storm to our right. As darkness fell, the bolts just kept dropping one after another and we couldn't believe how many great shots we got! What a fun group we had the privilege to work with!

Up a tree!! This dragonfly was pretty big and was dive bombing me in the garden it wouldn't stop anywhere for me to get a good shot at it except up this tree, so with my head stuck in branches and leaves I managed to get this shot of it, although it was in a difficult position to photograph. The things we do eh ;) View LARGE On Black
