An avid JRPG fan, the 17 year old Jeremy Testudine, loves anything to do with Pokemon. So when his parents surprised him on Christmas day with tickets to comic con he knew exactly what he was going to go as. After several months of careful planning and preparation he started on his Charizard costume only to have it go up in smoke when a jock at his local high school lit it on fire when Jeremy was on his way to the Anime club. After much time of wallowing in depression at the destruction of his beautiful costume Jeremy decided to give it one more shot and created his second favorite Pokemon, Blastoise. By the time he finished SDCC was only a week away and he packed and headed to the con. After a restless night of anticipation he got up, donned his costume and started walking to the convention center. Little did he know he would be stopped every 5 feet for a photo shoot..

Showing the zipper on the back of the costume and Jeremy without his mask and shell.

Created for Eurobricks "Let's go Cosplay!" contest.

Lots of Pokemon goodness variety here. First up on the left top row is a stencil (this one featuring Nurse Chansey), the card the stencil is to be drawn on, and then an unopened package of the front, next to the back that are clones of the packages the stencil kits (and candy) come in. A sample of the candy can be seen in the previous photo.

Another photo featuring the Stencil Candy Kits here.

In the middle on the left is a Pokemon tape dispenser (this one featuring Charmander). What isn't visible is the colorful character-based tape that comes with it. Presumedly when the tape runs out it will take any kind of tape as a refill.

Below the tape dispenser is a hitmonchan pencil topper. Nice. :)

On the bottom row is a set of prism seals featuring many of the Pokemon/Pocket Monsters while next to them are an unopened package of Japanese sticker seals that go in a special Japanese Perfect Album, and a BK character key that came with the burger premium in the Kid's Meal. On the character key is an Action Flipz Card which in turn is on a card which on the back has a character key for some of the finger puppet figures that come in the Nintendo Gameboy candy boxes which it came from.

Other "edibles" here.

More Pokémon here.

~~

All these (and more) need new homes as I'm going to a different country for an extended stay soon so send me a Flickr Mail message (access through the arrow that appears near my profile photo when mousing over it, or click on the little tan envelope that appears on my profile page) if interested.

Have you ever had a Pokemon disobey? How did you train them?

- Pokemon are cool but especially Charizard! This is one of the best origami pokemon models I saw on youtube and wanted to fold. I also am going to fold Lugia next (which looks even cooler)

-Folded from 60×60cm orange paper (thick gsm)

-Time spent = around 4 hours

A gijinka (Japanese term for making something not human into something human-esque) of the Pokemon "Charizard." I loved the costume and her 'tude; Charizard does whatever the hell he... uhm, she wants. Kind of like asking a cat to do something. It may do it but it's likely it may not as they can't see the benefit to them.
