A slight change of perspective of the view along a trail in Riding Mountain National Park in Manitoba, Canada. This one isolated section had a great solid batch of these birch trees reaching to the sky.

This change suggests there may have been an error or update in the initial reading, prompting an urgent visit to the hospital. It's also possible that the on-call RN mistakenly contacted me after reviewing another patient's report.
Despite my vitals being very good, I was questioned by an ER doctor about why I was there, which raises concerns about possible miscommunication.

Climate change in marine environments could be more difficult to predict than first thought, with researchers measuring how interactions between ocean ecosystems are affected by environmental change for the first time.
Research just published in Nature Climate Change, which involved UOW researcherDr Sarah Hamylton from the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, has found sea-level rise could negatively affect tropical marine ecosystems by mid-century.

The 2022 EX-CHANGE celebrates 2021-22 projects from first year through PhD programs through an exhibition, designed by means+methods, led by Aviva Rubin (B.Arch ‘07) and Carolynn Karp, and catalog designed by Group Project, Jimmy Luu and Ryan Menefee (DC ’08, HNZ ’09). EX-CHANGE addresses three imminent challenges facing society: climate change, artificial intelligence, and social justice. These themes organize the work, along with the experiments inspired by a spirit of formal and technological innovation at the school.

Some images from my parents' time living in Singapore from 1962 to 1966.
The country and locations they knew have since changed largely beyond recognition (as evidenced by my own visit in 2012) so these photos make an interesting contrast and record of a bygone period.
A couple of my first pictures with a new toy, the 5D Mark II :) Its unbelievable how much detail this camera picks up as well as the color! And what a better way to show off its capabilities than to take a couple fall photos. This camera literally 10min of PP in color correction. (Though I did put a filter on this picture because I just enjoy filters). I'm very excited about what the future holds with this bad boy!
As humans, we go through constant changes - from exterior to interior - that affect us intrinsically and extrinsically. Sometimes, we can't find the time to stop and make ourselves aware of our current position in life. At times, things just happen so fast that the change in itself doesn't take effect until everything has gone berserk.
There is a land of emotional turmoil and I am the queen. There are tsunamis and tornadoes that rush alongside my adrenaline and demolish the walls I have so intricately built over the years. I want to be willing to let the emotional waves take over me and possibly drown me in a different kind of emotion that has remained foreign to me for so long. However, the consequences scare me and I'm back to square one, resisting to feel yet wanting to feel. I am a paradox.
