Soldiers of the 2-6 CAV, 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, were honored with an award ceremony on Wheeler Army Airfield June 1.
The Squadron also held three Change of Responsibility ceremonies welcoming new First Sergeants into their roles.
This damselfly larvae has just left the water world to transform itself into a master of the air. It will crawl up the leaf, find a safe purchase and break out of it's skin in what will be a classic example of one of nature's miracles.

For my first mission ever didn't have time to think to far outside of the box so just went with the obvious - Some change as in coins but for this one I have at least shown another aspect of the word "change"

A woman picks shells. Tainan city in the south west of Taiwan was the first area to host Europeans. The old port city had fallen into decline and was rejuvenated by artists who moved into the derelict buildings and brought them back to life. 10/12/2010, Tainan, Taiwan.
Although you can't see them in this photo, a lot of high thin clouds were working their way in from the SW and were eating away at the light. Eventually it got so bad that I decided to call it quits and headed for my car. Halfway there it things brightened considerably, and a w/b green appeared on M1, so I changed my mind and headed down the platform to set up a dark side capture.

Some conditions have lead the continuous transformation of the area into a place in the city where the introduction of specific infrastructure projects, the zoning changes the uncontrolled development of new housing projects and many other factors to explore, have isolated a particular community which has resulted in high social problems like drug addiction, poverty, family dismemberment,etc. On the other hand several macroeconomic conditions as well as political moves have reduced the city's industrial activity despite the exceptional conditions present, this has caused the leaving of many industries and the shrinking of the rest, leaving a lot of very good built structures that can be taken over and harnessed to open incredible opportunities for the city and the residents of the area.

Green Change director Fabrice Florin gave a talk at the Rotary Club in Corte Madera about the new climate action network he founded in Marin.
He talked about how their nonprofit organization helps people go green and fight climate change in their own lives. Fabrice presented some of the creative ways in which Green Change inspires people to take climate action, through videos, special events, direct engagement and online tools.
He was joined by his colleague Tom Flynn, who spearheads special programs to develop the green economy, working with local businesses to offer group discounts and other incentives for climate action.
After the talk, Fabrice and Tom invited Rotary Club members to give us feedback on how we can grow our network to support local businesses who want to help their communities go green.
We also invited representatives from the County of Marin and Energy Alliance Association (TEAA) to give practical tips to these business owners on how they can turn their own companies green.
Overall, the talk was well received by Rotary Club members, many of whom expressed interest in hearing more about our work and taking climate actions with their own businesses.

Studies show that trees reduce the amount of solar radiation absorbed by asphalt and concrete. This means that the pavement stores less heat, ultimately bringing down the air temperature by as much as 1 degree Celsius.
And the impact of one tree can be felt up to a few hundred meters around it.
That's why many experts believe that urban trees are important in addressing the impacts of climate change. One study found that urban trees reduce the number of heat-stress related deaths across the U.S. At a time when the world is experiencing record-breaking heat, the need for trees is especially apparent.
Trees can also reduce the need for ACs when they are near houses and apartments. Which can be good, because while ACs can cool down the indoor temperature, they can increase outdoor temperatures by 2.4 degrees Celsius.
The problem is, more than 75% of people in U.S. cities live in neighbourhoods with less than 20% tree cover.
