Almost every year I take photos of this rotunda with the crocus field. I like it better around the blue hours when the rotunda is lit. This time it was during daytime. I used flash to soften the shadows in the foreground. The photo would work without flash I guess.

Strobist info:

I used a DIY twin-flash fiber optic adapter to channel the light from the external flash to the sides of the camera:

The light was softened by two home made diffusor box (out of yoghurt cans).

Nex-5 with 16mm lens was used.

A woman picks shells. Tainan city in the south west of Taiwan was the first area to host Europeans. The old port city had fallen into decline and was rejuvenated by artists who moved into the derelict buildings and brought them back to life. 10/12/2010, Tainan, Taiwan.

Taken during a trip to a local bubble tea joint that is a favorite among my group of friends! The register-counter was lit up by these concealed lights that changed colors every few seconds... It was hypnotizing haha. Rapid-fire shot a bunch and sort of mushed them all together to get this effect!

South Fork Bishop Creek. It is intriguing that in a grove of aspens all of the trees are all interconnected but only an isolated part of this grove is changing color. Why doesn't the entire grove change at once?

Me and my colleagues discovered that the nearby conbini is changing from Shinsengumi to Lawson. I liked Shinsengumi cause it was fresh and cheap and employing Chinese, but Lawson has the ticket machine so I can walk down the road on the 10th of any month to get tickets for the Ghibli Museum... so don't really know what is better...

The future people and future puppies of the world thank you for taking

action.

My puppy, Jack, and I live in beautiful Colorado. Though its rugged

mountains still boast some truly pristine lands, many of the forests have

been devastated by the pine beetle, which has increased in population due to

climate change.

We thank you, on behalf of all Coloradans and on behalf of our descendents

(including canine descendents) for making a bold difference.
