I could not resist posting another image of the Nankeen Kestrel (Falco cenchroides) because of the different canvas I was able to capture the bird flying along the beach.
The colours of the autumn leaves mean cooler nights and days for me. Hooray.
HMM!

With so much technology these days, it is nice to go back to the old ways of writing a letter or card to someone and sending it in the mail. It's a nice change from getting bills or junk mail, don't you think?
Thanks for your visit. I hope everyone had a great day!
I'm adding this picture of the Amber Fort in Jaipur as World Elephant Day is tomorrow. It was my next stop after Ranthambore Park as well. This trip encompassed so many varied destinations. It was a difficult, but an outstanding itinerary.
There are demonstrations occurring in the city as the day grows near. I will let you read the article.

I first saw elephants in Asia where they are used as working beats of burden. It seemed so common place I gave the practice little thought until I went to Africa and saw the gentle giants in the wild. My thoughts changed and it is nice to see that the Indian people are demanding change

It has been a long while since I have had the time to doing any blog posts. (inserts sad face here). Lots of changes for me in RL and just haven’t had the time, but I have missed it and wanted to do a picture, and being a shoe girl I had to do a pic for one of Phedora’s recent releases! These shoes are HAWT, and like all Phedora shoes they are highly customizable. These Sexy Strappy Shoes can be found @ Equal10.. It was a small miracle that I was able to get a usable image since this was taken in near darkness without a tripod. I used the so called 'low light' mode in the NEX-7 which takes multiple shots (6 I think) in rapid succession and then combines them in-camera to render a jpeg of the scene. If you can forgive the obvious 'noise/banding' that you can easily detect in the dark sky it allows handheld shooting in unbelievably low light. Apparently, an 'old dog' can learn 'new tricks.' I am sure that someone more adept than I could fix the sky but it is beyond my capabilities at this time. One day I must find time to take a course in photo editing ... sounds like a New Year's resolution in the making?
I would add that Flickr's compression of our uploads also changes the look of our photos ... sometimes very significantly. That is the case with this photo which when viewed in Lightroom has significantly more detail in the shadows and only a small amount of banding. Anyone else having this problem with their images on Flickr?
Old and broken pillions become a thing of interest for my camera. As i lean over a bridge to compose a shot, the once useful pier is little more than sticks in the mud. Their combined direction contributes to the notion of time and looking back on a different era. However, the interplay of colors, textures, and shapes make and engrossing tale of change.

Autumn reminds me of continual change more than any other season.

The hues change, leaves fall, light lessens each day. Today I let the wind blow the autumn leaves until I found a RAW image I sort of liked. Shooting into the sun.
Thanks for looking, for your faves, and for your comments.

It is a maple that is starting to change color.
The maples on the lakeside are already beautifully colored.

Frogmore has been completely revamped and redesigned.
I love wandering through sims like this as I find my inner peace and my serenity. It allows me to be creative and to just get lost in the art.
The seasons are changing yet again now the snow is coming again... in both worlds RL and SL.

The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued

Raging Tranquility, calm before the storm.
“Everybody needs beauty...places to play in and pray in where nature may heal and cheer and give strength to the body and soul alike.”
― John Muir
This is one of those places. One of the most beautiful hikes I had the chance to do (Longs peak plus Chasm Lake in the Rockies). Combining all kind of landscapes, all kind of lights as well as a real physical challenge and the adrenaline of the climb (and the adrenaline of a storm coming when you’re at 14000 feets with a storm coming your way, but I would have passed on this one !).
Not very inspired for writing something down right now. Sorry guys.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you like the shot ! Feel free to fav’ it, leave a comment or share. All feedbacks are welcome
