The place and the day when my life changed for ever...for the better.
One of the photographs taken with my previous digital camera.
I've been needing something for all the damn change they make you carry around in Europe (change is actually real money, unlike in the US). Saw this pink robot change purse at Spitalfields market. (Though it is looking a little phallic - oh well. :-P)

Do you know anyone who can help?
Last year we missed the major changing of the guards. This year I was there right when it happened. Pretty neat.

I tend to be introspective most days, but I am taking on the task of doing some serious reexamination of how I have changed since 2003. I will be blogging about some of this at www.drschnookleheimer.blogspot.com. Also, I will be exploring myself through the camera which has recently been very difficult for me. When leaving Mongolia and entering China, it is necessary to change all of the bogeys on the carriages of the train, as ex-Soviet states use a wider guage to the rest of the world. Here is the change in progress.

The Ticonderoga class of guided missile cruisers is a class of warships in the United States Navy, first ordered and authorized in the 1978 fiscal year. The class uses passive phased-array radar and was originally planned as a class of destroyers. However, the increased combat capability offered by the Aegis Combat System and the AN/SPY-1 radar system, together with the capability of operating as a flagship, were used to justify the change of the classification from DDG (guided missile destroyer) to CG (guided-missile cruiser) shortly before the keels were laid down for Ticonderoga and Yorktown.
