Chain of Strength @ True Till Death Studios 9/15/12

Concept idea, this was a by product of my idea sketching for a proper hotel identity project I am working on. Playing with Negative space and a small play on words. Forming the 'H' from the negative space made from the chain.

The church of the Monasterio de San Juan de los Reyes, built by Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile from 1477-1504. The chains are those of Christian prisoners freed from the Moors.

The Chain Home radar tower at Bawdsey, Essex, 7 October 2006. The Chain Home network (officially AMES Type 1 - Air Ministry Experimental Station Type 1) was a series of radar stations installed in 1937-39 along the south and east coasts; it was the first early warning radar system in the world and played a pivotal role in the defeat of the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain. The Bawdsey tower is one of the few remaining towers and the only one remaining on the first experimental site at Bawdsey Manor.

I thought about building it at the bench, but then figured this approach wouldn't be too difficult. The hardest part is/was stretching the tulle across the posts and rails.

Angler Camille Schwarb caught a 24" Chain Pickerel in Loch Raven Reservoir on Apr 11, 2022

It's unfortunate there was a double image on the sign

made myself a Chakra key chain - tried to find a stone that would fit each colour as closely as I could... typically rose quartz is used for the heart, but I preferred the look of the green:

crown - white - agate

3rd eye - purple - crazy lace agate

throat - blue - sodalite

heart - pink or green - green adventurine

solar plexus - yellow - citrine

sacral - orange - carnelian

root - black - smoky quartz

An unusual grave. Its a flat stone bordered by the chains you see above. Do you think they want to keep them in?

Markarian's Chain is a stretch of galaxies that forms part of the Virgo Cluster. When viewed from Earth, the galaxies lie along a smoothly curved line. Charles Messier first discovered two of the galaxies, M84 and M86, in 1781. The other galaxies seen in the chain were discovered by William Herschel[1] and are now known primarily by their catalog numbers in John Louis Emil Dreyer's New General Catalogue, published in 1888.[2] It was ultimately named after the Soviet astrophysicist, Benjamin Markarian, who discovered their common motion in the early 1960s.[3] Member galaxies include M84 (NGC 4374), M86 (NGC 4406), NGC 4477, NGC 4473, NGC 4461, NGC 4458, NGC 4438 and NGC 4435.

The Galaxy at the Top left is M87.

Messier 87 (also known as Virgo A or NGC 4486, generally abbreviated to M87) is a supergiant elliptical galaxy in the constellation Virgo that contains several trillion stars.

The black hole at M87’s heart has the mass of about 3.5 billion Suns. It is surrounded by a disk of material that is slowly funneling into the black hole, heated by the action of a jet that is moving at very high speed out from the black hole.
