Detached chain (aka lazy daisy) stitch
Top left: Detached chain with long tie down. Pattern inspired by page 108 of “From Print to Stitch” by J. Edmonds. Outside is stitched with Anchor Perle # 8, inside stitched with a cotton Perle #12.
Right hand side: Pattern inspired by page 109 of “From Print to Stitch” by J. Edmonds. Stitched with some Cottage Garden colourway from Dale.
Bottom left: Effie uses scattered open chain. This is an attempt to scatter open chain randomly and shade a bit from orange to yellow. Not really successful! Probably not helped by doing it on Aida cloth!!
