The wording on this certificate says it all. Presented, as I suspect were thousands of others, to troops who survived the Great War.

After the flight, Air France distributed certificates to all passengers confirming to have flown on their A380. Great souvenir, especially for the many airline geeks on board.

This is posted for my dad. He was a B-17 mechanic during WWII. Stationed in Selina,KS. where they trained crews before deployment. He passed away about 12 years ago.
My husband won the New Jersey Corporate Counsel Association's award for legal fiction writing in 2012. He was supposed to receive his certificate last November, but due to Super Storm Sandy the ceremony was delayed until this week.
After he framed the certificate last night, I asked him to leave it here so that I could photograph it for posterity before he takes it into his office.
I've had a few people inquire about gift certificates lately, so I thought I'd post what they look like. They are printed on a double-sided 5x7" linen-textured card, and each comes with its own envelope.
A couple poses for the signing of a marriage certificate. The man is dressed in WWII uniform, the woman in a wedding dress (one of the Wey collection sisters), late 1930s, early 1940s. From a lost collection of photos found by Chris Terry at the Aberfoyle Antique Market near Guelph, Ontario, Canada in 2001. This box of glass positive emulsions portrays a family history through the first half of the 20th century.
