This currency was entered into circulation 1951-1954 and used in 18 countries on US Military bases. The color and design of this note is really cool and vibrant. I barely touched vibrance. Cropped to maintain Macro Monday size rules. HMM
I was packing all my stuff for the move and dug this out. It's my mum's leaving certificate for Communist Young Group for exceeding the age. Urh... right, but how communist does that look? Classic!
17'' LE Wedding Rapunzel Fully Deboxed (#1081)
Posed with my other LE Wedding Rapunzel (#4661), who is still attached to the inner cardboard backing.
#1081 on the left has short, straight eyebrows, whereas #4661 on the right has long, curvy eyelashes. I am leaving #4661 boxed, to keep her in mint condition.
She is the only 17'' Disney Store Limited Edition Doll with fully poseable feet, as far as I know. Her ankle joints rotate 360 degrees, and tilt down 45 degrees and tilt up 10 degrees.
The Disney Store's Limited Edition 17'' Tangled Ever After Rapunzel Wedding Doll was available for pre-order online and instore on February 21, 2012. This doll was pre-ordered instore on February 21, and was picked up at my local Disney Store on March 28, 2012. She is #1081 out of an edition of 8000.
She is a 17'' doll with an elaborate wedding gown and veil, and a jeweled crown. The gown has an ivory satin bodice with gold sun and floral embroidery, and white lace and gold trim. The skirt is silver satin with an ivory printed sun and floral pattern and gold trim, and bedecked with faux pearls. It is fully lined with ivory satin. There is a full underskirt of purple satin with a gold printed sun and floral pattern, decked with faux opals, with white lace on the bottom. It too is fully lined, with purple satin. The veil is oversized and is two layered soft and flexible white tulle, with the outer layer having a magnificient solar and floral glittering gold pattern.
She is a fully articulated doll, including poseable hands and feet. She has a painted gold ring on the ring finger of her left hand. Her head mold and face painting are the same as the previous blonde haired LE 17'' Rapunzel from the Disney Store. However, her hair is short and brown, as she wore for her wedding in Tangled Ever After, and not long and blonde as she was until near the end of the first Tangled movie. Her eyelashes are rooted, but come in two lengths. This doll has the shorter length, straight eyelashes, that are similar to those depicted in the promo images. Other dolls in this same release have very long curvy lashes that are similar, but not quite as long, as the blonde long haired 17'' LE Rapunzel.
As with the other Disney Store 17'' Limited Edition dolls, Wedding Rapunzel comes in a beautiful and sturdy plastic and cardboard box within a box. Included with the doll is a Certificate of Authenticity and a custom made doll stand.

I've never wanted special recognition. Even in high school, I declined a nomination to National Honor Society.
But, the volunteer dinner, held at the zoo on Friday night, was different. A banquet hall filled with people who have made contributions, mostly quietly and behind the scenes, is about community, not self-promotion. Community is something I value.
The volunteer coordinator made this certificate on her computer. It says, "Camera Connoisseur." A token, reminding me that community is happening. I can get into that.

I reported my encounter with the banded Piping Plover (see below in comments) in Texas to the USGS. They told me it would be 2-4 weeks to hear back, but I just got the info back on this cute little plover. It was banded in 2012 in North Dakota so looks like it is about 4 years old.
As part of my symbolic Platinum Adoption of Bei Bei, I received this personalized adoption certificate along with his photo
I photographed a Red Knot on September 4, 2016 that was banded and had a radio transmitter on its back. I submitted the information to the USGS Bird Banding Lab and finally got the report back today.
This is a male that was banded on June 30, 2010 near Nome, Alaska. Hatch date is uncertain but the report states 2009 or earlier.
Red Knots are really cool birds because they are very long distant migrators. There is a book called "Moonbird" about a banded Red Knot "B95" that was nicknamed 'Moonbird'. It is so long-lived that the journey it has traveled in migration is the distance to the moon and half way back. That is crazy awesome!

In many competitions of art, photographs, athletics, etc., this position reiterates that you must attend more about what possibly happened to you, and how you should improve yourself. But this position tells you that you no lost the competition, but that you are a possible chosen to be a winner of the first or second place in the near future.

An evidence of which is shown in the certificate issued to my great-great-grandfather Mr. Muhammad Naeem Qureshi or Muhammad Naeem Munshi as he was officially called, the certificate was about clearing of Class-II officer's exam held on 14 October 1863 and this certificate was issued to him by the Collector Shikarpur District Captain Leonel Danester Vale on 22nd July 1864

Position number three is a privileged position, which tells you that you must understand why you are there.
In many competitions of art, photographs, athletics, etc., this position reiterates that you must attend more about what possibly happened to you, and how you should improve yourself. But this position tells you that you no lost the competition, but that you are a possible chosen to be a winner of the first or second place in the near future.

La posición número tres es una posición privilegiada, que te dice que debes de entender por que tu estas ahi.
En muchas competencias de arte, fotografías, atletismo, etc, esta posición te reitera que debes de atender mas sobre lo que posiblemente te sucedio, y como debes de mejorarte. Pero esta posición no te dice que perdiste la competencia, si no que eres un posible elegido para ser un ganador del primero o segundo lugar en un futuro próximo.

The News Chronicle's "I-Spy Tribe", complete with Big Chief I-Spy awards certificates and orders of merit for successfully completed I-Spy books, was a popular past time for many children in post-WW2 years. In many ways it was books such as these that helped foster my childhood inquisitiveness! Although the books and name changed hands on many occassions, including the transfer of the Chronicle to the Daily Mail, the actual premise and books of the title carried on into this century, latterly published by Michelin.
This book, number 9, was issued just after the Daily Mail's acquisition of the Chronicle in 1961. "I-Spy in the street" has a fabulous cover complete with a fire tender, road signs of the style adopted by several central London boroughs, and a Policeman with a very early 'walkie-talkie' radio!
