I was packing all my stuff for the move and dug this out. It's my mum's leaving certificate for Communist Young Group for exceeding the age. Urh... right, but how communist does that look? Classic!

I am so proud of him. He has overcome a few challenges on the way to this and has financed it entirely himself. He has now completed his certificate and with a few more hours under his belt, will get his passenger endorsement. I cannot wait to join him in the air.

The group of Snow Geese I saw the other day, one adult female, two immature and one Ross's Goose (possible hybrid). Using my big lens did not allow me to get a shot of the four of them together.
I received the Certificate of Appreciation for reporting the federal band number on the adult female to the USGS today.

These are not particularly valuable above face value.
Most 1935 to 1957 series Silver Certificates are worth a small premium over face value. Circulated examples can sell for $1.25 to $1.50 each, while uncirculated $1 Silver Certificates are worth $2 to $4 each.
The 1935 one dollar silver certificates are common, but there are different seal types and different varieties that can be valuable. There are blue seals, brown seals, and yellow seals.
The different series include the following: 1935, 1935A, 1935B, 1935C, 1935D, 1935E, 1935F, 1935G, and 1935H.

This is an old stock certificate to an energy company. I saw it for sale in a antique mall on a road trip. It seemed good for the theme.

Pretty good gimick i think. Giving you the "free" money of Kohls bucks from a prior purchase, and having to spend it before a certain date. Cant ever let the certificate expire, even if you don't really need anything!
I don't have much in the way of service history with my Rover, but pleasingly I do have every MOT certificate from it's first one which was done in February 2000, 18 months after the car was first registered, but 5 years after it was actually made.
It appears to have done between 12-17k per year between 2000 and 2005, and then the mileage seems to fall every year thereafter. It's only done 12k miles in the past 10 years.
The Tax discs seem to indicate that the car spent the first 9 or so years in/around the Birmingham area, before heading north to Durham in late 2007, where it has remained until yesterday when I brought it back down the country slightly to Lancashire.
