From Wikipedia: Military Payment Certificates, or MPC, were used from the end of World War II until the end of the Vietnam War, between the years 1946 and 1973. MPC's utilized layers of line lithography to create colorful banknotes that could be produced cheaply. Fifteen series of MPC's were created but only 13 series were issued.

Mary and John Burke (c1820-?).
Birth:
William was born in 1845 in County Sligo, Ireland
Emigration:
He emigrated to the United States on February 15, 1863 at age 18, to New York City.
Marriage:
He married Margaret Kane (1846-1912) in 1868, most likely in Jersey City.
Children:
Together they had at least two children: John Joseph Burke (1868-1939) who married Nora M. Finn (1866-1898) and after her death married Josephine Smith (1875-1962); and Mary Ellen Burke (1870-1957) who married Richard B. Patterson II (1869-1930). According to the 1900 US Census they only had two children and both were alive.
Naturalization:
He was naturalized as a US citizen on October 27, 1874 in Jersey City and his certificate was handed down in the family and was last with his great-grandson, Vincent Gerard Norton (1923-2005) in Sarasota, Florida in 2005.
Milk Dealer:
He operated a milk dealership from his home at 26 Atlantic Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Marriage of Son:
Around 1889, his son, John married Nora M. Finn (1866-1898) and she gave birth to Mary Margaret Burke (1890-1949) aka May Burke. In 1898 Nora died of pneumonia and Mary was raised by Nora's sister, Catherine Elizabeth Finn (1863-1918) aka Kate Finn, who worked as a secretary at a pencil company. In 1899 John Burke then married Josephine Smith (1875-1962) and they had five children together. John had trouble earning enough money to support his children so the girls were raised by his sister, Mary Burke.
Daughter Adopts Children:
Mary Ellen Burke (1870-1957) may also have adopted two children: Leona Veronica Patterson; and John Patterson.
Jersey City, New Jersey:
The family was living at 26 Atlantic Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1900. John did not list an occupation.
Pennsylvania:
By 1910 William Burke and his wife, Margaret, retired to Delaware County, Pennsylvania and lived with their daughter, Mary Ellen Burke, and her husband, Richard B. Patterson II .
Death of Wife:
Margaret died on June 12, 1912 and William bought a cemetery plot in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Yeadon, Pennsylvania. The deed was in the possession of Vincent Gerard Norton (1923-2005) in Florida as of 2005, and is now with his son Kenneth.
Death:
William Burke died on July 29, 1919 at the Philadelphia General Hospital in Philadelphia. He died of Alzheimer's disease and his death certificate lists the cause of death as "exhaustion from senile dementia".
Burial:
He was buried in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Yeadon, Pennsylvania with: his wife, Margaret Kane; his daughter, Mary Ellen Burke; and Mary's husband, Richard B. Patterson II; and two of his granddaughters: Bertha M. Burke (1902-1971) and Josephine Veronica Burke (1907-1995). There are no markers for any of the graves.
Archive:
The deed to his cemetery plot and his naturalization certificate were handed down in the family and were last with his second great-grandson, Kenneth Stephen Norton (1955- ) in Sarasota, Florida in 2007.
Relationship:
William Burke (1845-1919) was the second, great-grandfather of Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) and Kenneth Stephen Norton (1955- ). He was the great-grandfather of John Edward Burke (1934- ).
Wowza!!! This is a scan (possibly microfiche) of the birth certificate of my Great Great Great Grandfather George Phillips, born 19th February 1820. Thanks so much to a relative of ours Russell Cooper for sending this on.
I finally got the Master's Certificate in Project Management I earned way back in March. Whoo!

This is an original hand painted animation cel an/or drawing used in the actual production of the cartoon. Cels (short for celluloids") are the fundamental building blocks behind traditional animated film entertainment. A production drawing is the initial pencil artwork that is used to create the cel. The fluid motion portrayed in an animated film is the result of thousands of individual paintings and drawings. Several hundred such cels and drawings are required for a single minute of animated film, Each cel and drawing is a unique work of art, and each piece bears seal authenticity, establishing it as an actual production element as opposed to a repainted rendering or reproduction.

John Baker, Debbie Martin, and Rich Martin of the Litchfield Hills Audubon Society proudly display certificates of recognition bestowed by the New England Chapter of the Wildlife Society, recognizing their oversight and promotion of habitat projects helping New England cottontails.
“As we've created this mix of conifers, shrubland, and young forest habitat – with a total of 17 acres cut between 2005 and 2015 – we’ve truly become a wildlife sanctuary,” says LHAS member Debbie Martin. Tracks in winter’s snow demonstrate that “a variety of animals are visiting the clearcuts, with some, including eastern cottontails, burrowing into the brush piles,” Martin says.
New England cottontails have been confirmed on another preserve only three miles from Boyd Woods Sanctuary. “We're confident that when New England cottontails show up here, they, too, will find this habitat accommodating.”

A few years after our initial safety training we went down to Point Lookout State Park to get a refresher course on blackpowder saftey. This time we even got certificates to prove we are qualified. Now I can continue to serve on the gun crew when we fire our original 1840s vintage 6-pounder cannon that we affectionately call "Martha."
Sojan (aged 14) was nine years old when he came to Dhaka from the countryside with his parents. When they arrived, he got lost and has never been able to find them. .
He ended up living on the street and working in a hotel (a roadside restaurant) as a hotel boy. He was wrongly arrested and imprisoned by the police but was able to use his birth certificate, which Plan helped him obtain, to prove he was under 18 and therefore being illegally held in an adult jail. While in jail he met many other inmates who claimed to be under 18 but had no birth certificate to prove it and so no legal right to be released. .
