Brazos River Park, Sugar Land, Texas. Presumably the frog jumped into fresh concrete and could not escape. The organic structures eventually deteriorated, leaving an exquisitely detailed cast.

My second try at the welding of these plates to a round tube. The plates snapped off after my first try. I'm not very good at welding yet.

Here are four pics of people shadows that I thought would work well for some characters in a movie. The casting director took some quick polaroids and labeled them with a role they might be right for. Since shadows are cast, and have their roles determined by their owners, so actors are cast and play out the role they have been given.

I removed the torch and let the centrifuge fly.... hoping all the molten silver made it's way successfully into the mold (it did). All the little pock-mark burn marks are from previous castings where droplets of molten silver overflowed the sides of the crucible. That doesn't happen anymore, now that I weigh my wax, do a little math and measure out accurate amounts of silver for every casting.

Equipment introduction:
