I've been to a few castings in Warsaw as a photographer, taking photos of the people waiting to stand in front of the camera and hoping to get a role in a commercial, a soap or a feature...Nobody I have talked to so far has admitted they would like to be famous. So maybe they don't. They simply want to try out something new, they wish tochallenge themselves or simply see if they are fit for media.. (which equals being famous in a way, doesn't it).
That's me sanding Jodi's 3rd belly casting(cars theme).Summer 2007.The completed belly casting(painted) is in my photostream along with other ones that I've made.

Thank you Haru Casting for all the beautiful colors!! They look spectacular! :)
If you remember we put in a small garden pond earlier this summer and stocked it with goldfish from the pet store. The gold fish all got Ich and died, which is common with pet store fish. Since my parents already have 2 ponds at their house that are stocked with goldfish that are healthy and naturalized to ponds, we decided to catch a couple of theirs for our pond. Mr Chiots got out my dad's casting net and netted us a few little fish.
First attempt at resin casting. There is some natural sponge and solid pigment in the left one and just green pigment in the other. I like the effect so far.
Jodi's 3rd belly casting. She had a boy and wanted a transportation theme to match her baby's nursery. this pic is the shoulder detail.
Cherry blossoms by the casting pond at Westmoreland Park. It was a pleasant evening at the park, with chirping birds and spring in the air!
This did not turn out as sharp as it should have, considering I was using a tripod and there was no wind. Disappointing.
Mom casting to catch a large mouth Bass and catch one she did a 16". It was a rather exciting moment for both of us!! I had to put the camera down to get it off the hook...we decided to let it go only because NEITHER of us knows how to clean it!! one of my favorite moments with Mom!!

This fisherman was casting for bait in the early evening. Luck was not with him but clearly, he was a talented caster, tossing his net with skill. Or so the Pelican said.

Making my first Adeptus Mechanicus casting. The polyurethene resin sets spectacularly fast - it was clear when I went to get my camera, but had gone this cloudy a mere 90 seconds later.
I had some latext left over after pouring the first mould, so quickly made up some extras from some bitz I had handy. It's a good thing I did since I mixed up a bit too much resin as well.
I need some decently sized Adeptus Mechanicus symbols for a terrain project I'm working on. The problem? No one makes the damn things any more. So, the only solution is to make my own.
I'm building the base model out of balsa wood and other stuff I have lying around the place, then I'll take a mould off it and make as many as I need! Theoretically :)
