First bird I've attempted in ages! It might not look like much but I stalked this fella for a solid 30 minutes before he finally gave me any attention. Also the first time I've used bird calling, eventually I had a whole swarm of blue Jays in the trees but none of them were brave enough to get very close

While visiting friends in Britain, we spent an afternoon cheering on their son at his school cricket match, held in Cardiff. The scene was so archetypally British, it was almost surreal: children in cricketing whites, playing a match on the town green, in the shadow of the cathedral spire. I half expected to find a Merchant Ivory film crew lurking in the woods.
