A snapshot of my two models playing in front of the house, he wearing her fairy hat, taking advantage of the fact that she is busy on the phone.... they looked a bit insane but I could only freeze the moment using the smartphone.
Played a lot with post production in Picmonkey tryimg to make the shot appealing.
When this male Greater Roadrunner's efforts to attract a phantom female on the ground failed, he flew up onto this dead branch to make himself more visible and continued his calling. A dirty rotten trick to play on a young bird in the springtime, but it made some for some good photos.

During the last few months I have been away from flickr, and their has been a reason for that. I have been working on my college FMP.
With my final major project I wanted to reveal an alternate lifestyle, a lifestyle that I could document and show the real values of a community. I spent my time visiting monasteries, convents and priests local to me. I wanted to follow their day-to-day life and show their real characteristics. I have been fortunate enough to visit Prinknash abbey, Brownshill Monastery and Morehall Convent. Father Isidore who was born in Nigeria was able to help me make contacts and take the project further whilst helping me himself, by offering his time for shoots.
There was no limits to what we could do for our projects and I know I made the right choice by pushing myself. I will never forget this project or the people that helped me make it. I have learnt so much and I hope you can take something away with you from my images.

THE ALABAMA RENAISSANCE FAIRE
Begun in 1987, the official Alabama Renaissance Faire has developed into a major tourist event in Northwest Alabama. For the past four years it has been named one of the top 20 events in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourist Society in Atlanta, giving it recognition by more than 800 media outlets throughout the region
Held in Wilson Park (renamed Fountain-on-the-Green for the two days of the Faire), this unusual event draws 30,000 – 40,000 people each year to its site in downtown Florence, Alabama. It is always held on the fourth Saturday and Sunday in October, taking advantage of the nice weather and the gorgeous fall foliage in the park.
