i decided to write a letter to Santa this week :-) so for the next seven days you'll have my:
" Xmas wish letter / My top 7 favourite movie items-gadgets"
#7 - star trek's communication badge / universal translator (from Star Trek films)
face it this is one amazing tool: voice dial, smart call, integrated gps (universal gps that is) - as they could track your coordinates trough this little thing and best of all (and why it made this list): universal translator. since the next generation they had a universal translator incorporated, that meant hearing aliens own voices but in your own language and it does the opposite too SOOO i'm guessing that with a little hack this baby could work better than mission's impossible voice chip; as it could mimic anyone's voice and you don't even have to know their language :-O
oh and the little federation logo is stylish too :-)

of course it would be better to ask for starship enterpriseD and get everything on it:
-teleporters (travel anywhere)
-replicators (my own alladin's lamp)
-phasers (stun or kill)
-holodecks (my own virtual world, goodbye playstation)
-force fields
-and all the medical bay technology (this is cool)
BUT that would be cheating and would render this list useful. star trek is so full of cool stuff :-P

La Universidad celebró el simposio: “SOStenibilidad Calling”, el jueves 16 de mayo en el Campus de la Dehesa de la Villa.
El profesor Eduardo Roig, coordinador del Máster de Tecnologías en Edificación Sostenible de la Universidad Nebrija, abrió esta jornada en la que hizo referencia a la banda británica The Clash y su canción London Calling, para reivindicar responsabilidades, en este caso encaminadas hacia una arquitectura sostenible.
La situación actual de la edificación sostenible en España y la búsqueda de principios generadores de una Naturaleza Artificial estabilizadora de nuestro futuro común fueron los temas de este simposio, que reflexionó sobre los límites ortodoxos de la construcción –y destrucción- de arquitectura, cuyas bases se diluyen en pro de una nueva modernidad que busca la adaptación al medio.
El encuentro contó con María López de Asiaín, especialista en medioambiente de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño de la UCOL de México, que participó en esta jornada a través de una videoconferencia; Marta Húmera, responsable de proyectos de la Fundación de la Casa que Ahorra, Javier Mata, profesor de la Universidad Nebrija experto en eficiencia energética, y Rosana Rubio profesora del Máster de Tecnologías en Edificación Sostenible de Nebrija.

A Brahminy Kite (banog) on a perch calling ... Apparently, this used to be a captive bird that escaped while being exhibited in a festival in my hometown in Aklan, Philippines. It came from the far mountain villages in the western side of the town. Since it escaped, it hasn't returned to the mountains yet and is frequently seen circling the skies of the town proper.

Well, I decided it was finally time to respond to the invite to the calling card group. Thanks, Patrick for the keen group idea and invite!
I seem to always be attracted to geometical patterns and lines and forms, so when I'm not getting blurry photos of people, I end up with things like this picture, looking up out the car window as we crossed the golden gate bridge.
