First day for me of the five day B & W Challenge. I was nominated by Mervyn Head, & my first nominee is ND Wind Twins.
For Studio 26's Assignment on DOF -- Aperture & focal length chosen to give a wide dof -- ISO chosen because of overcast, low-light conditions.

Another travelling photo done it in South Korea, to post this shot is because saw many friends or PRO-Photographers sharing their stunning work and I want to share some but only notice when I editing the photo.... how to compare to friends? Anyway, I just not to compare but to say something is I can't do those best shot as them and decided not to travel so frequent as I won't take a such great piece of work like them. Viewing their photos will be more than enough or save my money and time for travelling.
However, during the processing, I recalled my best buddy in Flickr generation, this made me want to nominee Soh Pey Jin to take this B&W challenge.
Is you PJ bro, you can't runaway from this, perhaps you still doing the stunning work as previous.... can't wait to see your great work again!

B&W Challenge Day 2/5
my final photo for the 5 days of B&W challenge
Today we had a nice trip to Hollókő [en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollókő], a charming small village and a Unesco World Heritage Site.
Again, gray weather, but the food was excellent. And I bought a lovely hand-made basket, that I'm sure will make an appearance latter on in this 365.
I think one of the local dogs knew I had some biscuits in my backpack, he followed us everywhere. He looked very well fed, so I thought I should not ruin his diet with the biscuits.
I've been challenged by two friends and fantastic photographers (I recommend everyone to check out their work) for the "Black & White Challenge": Pepe Colsa and Ugo Mellone. I'm supposed to post 5 photographies in B&W and choose 5 photographers to continue expanding this fun initiative. Today I choose Miguel González for the #BWchallenge

To follow with the #BWchallenge, this is a picture from last week. Normally, having blue skies in the background and not framing the whole bird, is seen as something negative in bird photography. B&W, might help to stand out the expression and details on the plumage of this griffon, and improve this image. What do you think Jaime Blasco? And, by the way, you are the next photographer I choose for the "Black & White Challenge"

Normalmente los fondos cielo en el fondo y tener al ave incompleta en el encuadre, se percibe como algo negativo en la fotografía de aves. El B&N tal vez ayude a resaltar la expresión y los detalles en el plumaje de el buitre y dar más valor a la imagen. ¿Qué piensas Jaime Blasco? Last day of the five day B & W Challenge for me. I was nominated by Mervyn Head (thanks, Mervyn)! My nominee today is SantaFeFCR, who'd come out with me on a photo taking & dog walking expedition, & was taking her own shots of aspen.
So, there's been a little Black and White challenge going on on FB. Seven days, no explanation, no people. Half of the last six posts are from the challenge and the other half are extras. It's a fun exercise.

Together with three photo friends (Ari, Monique and Jacky), I visited the retrospective exhibition featuring the work of the female street photographer Vivian Maier (New York, 1926 - 2009) in Foam, the photography museum of Amsterdam. Her impressive oeuvre was only discovered at the end of her life - and then immediately caused a worldwide sensation. The picture in the background is a selfie of her, a reflection in a shop window.

It was a beautiful day on the ski trail. Minus 2C and overcast, it started to snow toward the end of the ski, bringing with it the beautiful quiet that seems to only occur during a snowfall.
This particular image was taken while facing True North and while I had spent the morning sliding along on the skis, I used some heavy processing to bring out some detail and convert to Black and White. Gotta love using sliders.

I have been nominated by judith511 to do the B&W challenge for 5 days - this is #1. My first nominee is Adventures of KM&G-Morris.
This was a little "executive toy" I had on my desk before I retired! He has a little winder at the back and after winding him up he 'wobbles' from one foot to the other and gradually moves forward ..... just like a penguin walking. I remembered the film "Happy Feet", hence the title! :~)
