This is my second picture for my 5-day black & white challenge that I was nominated to do by Nomis.

Day 2 of the 5 Day Challenge

Today I\'ve reworked a pic from early summer. This was an incredible evening .... warm, golden sunset, gorgeous long shadows ... I posted a few colour pics at the time, but I\'m quite pleased with this Perfect Effects B&W rendering!

I received my invitation to this challenge from ~DGH~ to join a challenge ...5 photos for 5 days, in black and white with no specific theme. Every day for 5 days together with the photos, I will have to nominate one of my contacts.

Looking south along the Slocan River just south of Winlaw, BC. In the distance, Airy Mountain.

I've been challenged by Izzy Standbridge to post five black and white pictures on five consecutive days (that's one on each of the five days), and on each of those days to challenge another person to do the same.

I have decided that this is also an opportuinty for me to go off piste from my normal stuff and post something a bit different, so here we go.

Op de hoek van de Wagenstraat en de Grote Marktstraat in Den Haag stond het gebouw van J.C. van Dorsser uit 1922 en 1934[1] waar de Haagsche Courant tot 1981 gehuisvest was. Het gebouw bevatte tevens het Zeiss-Planetarium dat een cadeau was van de toenmalige directeur, A.W. Sijthoff jr. aan de Haagse bevolking.

B&W Challenge - Day 5

Another shot from the Wynnum Mangrove Boardwalk, I love how they form a cover over the boardwalk. We had a king tide that day, which was going down when we arrived, it looked as if the water had covered this boardwalk earlier in the day.

Yes, in the fog! When it first came up, we were watching the World of Color show. I thought it was water droplets drifting over from the show. But the "water droplets" persisted even when we left the lagoon where the show was... And we drove home in, yes, fog!

Almost 14 years ago, Ken & I each received swords as wedding gifts from friends of ours who were traveling in Spain at the time! The gifts were shipped to my place of work at the time- imagine the astonishment when I opened the package and there were VERY large weapons inside!! :)

Back to color! After the #BWchallenge this is a colored Orange-breasted Falcon seen and photographed a few years back in Guatemala. It's one of the few pictures I keep using a Digiscoping system, with a Canon DSLR, Zeiss scope and a ring adapter. Have a great weekend!

Day 5 Black & White Photo Challenge

Trying to find some atmospheric accent for this one, sort of 'Film Noir' crossed with Urban Grit.

As you can guess, it's just a view up our road taken at 7am this morning, and it's not a particularly 'gritty' area, nor would it be at the top of the Director's preferred location list for a menacing, stylish crime drama, so Epic Fail on both counts!

But it IS in B&W. So that's something.
