Ever seen a button tree? Well now you have. This lovely felt button tree has been appliquƩd onto an awesome bag made from a vintage pillowcase. The pillowcase fabric features a picturesque dogwood forest in the bloom of spring. The bag has also been embellished with a spattering of hand beading and buttoning. It is lined with a shiny red fabric which contrasts in a bold and beautiful way with the the grass green of the outer fabric.
The bag measures about 10 inches tall and 8 inches across. The shoulder strap / handle is about 22 inches long, making it rest around your waist.

Button shells are found buried in the sand, only reaching out its eyes and tentacle to forrage for food. When disturbed, these small but mighty shells gives a spiralling leap and buries itself into the sand again. Empty shells are also popular hangout places of hermit crabs, providing them with a safe and secure home away from predators.
camera batteries died before I could experiment with this light... and concept more... used build in flash and a piece of looseleaf... also I'm aware of the terrible framing but I still like this falling button... tried holding two in my eyes like monacles but the facial expression was horrific haha. and they fell out... hence the falling button.
