I found this button in one of our new buildings and I have no idea what it's for. It's just on a little panel on the wall.
One of the three Georgia signers of the Declaration of Independence. He now rest in the Old Colonial Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia.

Painted Button-quail Turnix varia 17 – 23 cm
Painted Button-quail move on the spot in a circle as they feed, digging up the leaf litter and sometimes dirt as they go. This circular movement results in 'platelets' which are saucer sized and shaped bare patches of ground. It is a good way to find where they have been foraging. We thought it better not to disturb them just to get images of the platelets.
This woman was waiting to cross a rather large street, where the light does not change very often. So you have to wait for a while.
She pressed the crosswalk button for the entire time that she was waiting. She. Did. Not. Stop. I thought her arm was going to fall off.

So a few of us went through the "button loop" inside the back of the cave. This involved crawling about on our stomachs, trying not to lose the button's off our clothing, squeezing through very tight spaces and jumping down from a hole in the side of the cave back into a space where you could (finally) stand up straight again. We did it!
