I've always regarded grannies bonnets as nothing more than weeds, until now! They're proving to be quite photogenic I think, just wish the wind would die down just a little, catching them not moving is proving to be quite a challenge !

Maybe one day she'll get one with a motor, until then she'll need to make do. Bacolod City, Philippines.

Apparently, the bird feeders my wife set up over our back planter contained some sunflower seeds that spilled over into the planter. New, unexpected growth.

Cherry blossom is coming soon to Huntington Central park so as the hummingbirds.

The result of handing my camera to a 8 year old child with a timer set to start in 10 seconds and the shutter set for a 15 second exposure. He was amazed by the photo.

Candid shot of a young bridesmaid with her Nikon D3100 dSLR at a wedding event.

She's amazingly not shy in public and at one time, said "Excuse me, I'd like to take a shot!" when I accidentally blocked her view of the bride and groom. I'm sure she'll become one great photographer someday!

Shot with my EOS 60D + EF 70-300L telephoto zoom @ 170mm, f/5.0. I went for that grainy film look for this shot in post. :o)

Using my macro lens I was able to capture the downy fibers of the sepal on this budding miniature rose. You can also see the part of the sepal is beginning to bare the red petal.

A shot of the buds from one of our trees. The only thing is, I have no idea what kind of tree it is. It grows pretty fast though.

Not quite at bloom stage...budding trees in Waynesboro, Virginia last weekend.

Buds on my clematis

Full flowers are starting to show, but I still found these Hyacinth flower buds particularly interesting. I hope you do to :)

...or at least, how I decided to compose this shot! More tree branches soon to blossom in Waynesboro, Virginia.

This was our second shoot with the lovely Alexus. For being so young she is incredibly focused and great to shoot with - a nice mix of beauty, sweetness, adventure, and attitude. For some unknown reason she seems to enjoy shooting with us - and we appreciate that. I took these photos on a very cold day (Alexus is not of fan of cold weather) at JUMP in downtown Boise in mid-January 2021. What a fun shoot!

Nothing to shoot on a Saturday morning, I was waiting then for our sunflower to have its full bloom but then decided to have a macro shot on its budding flower stage for a while.
