Playing with my grandsons bubble mixture. It was fun blowing the bubbles, putting the mixture down then grabbing the camera before the bubbles popped or blew away!

Bubble filters are virtually ubiquitous on the internet. They scan our web searches and learn from our behavior to show us only the content we want to see. By hiding information that conflicts with our point of view, they isolate each of us in our own cultural and ideological bubble.
In addition to the bubbles on the internet, there are also personal bubbles, which we build ourselves by consciously setting boundaries that separate us from others and the outside world. In doing so, however, we give up that element of unpredictability that makes life so special and worth living.
forget the last pictures.. today I bought some sort of mini bubblemachine: way better bubbles! not sure if the pictures are better but ehm.. BUBBLES :D

This shot was an accident. I hadn't meant to photograph a bubble popping. It was a very happy accident though. It showed me that it's possible to photograph a bubble bursting!
There's some editing here to bring out the popping effect on the bottom left. The editing is curves adjustment, a sharpen, some highlight, and saturation.
I didn't think the relatively slow shutter speed of 1/200 would capture the bubble popping, but it has. Take a CLOSE LOOK at that bottom left hand corner. It's weird alright! It looks like it's imploding. I'd suspect that the whole process of popping happens in 1/100th of a second - it's just too quick to see. So, to have it popping while still being able to see the reflection - it's a rare moment!
The strange thing about popping, I think, is that it's neither really an explosion or an implosion (I might be wrong on this though), because the air inside isn't a higher or lower pressure than outside. Does that make sense. Maybe it's ever so slightly higher, but surely it can't be much higher, as the soap/water film is just that, a very thin film. It's more a peeling or unzipping!
Testando foco e a paciência do meu elemento predileto que gentilmente parou de jogar P2 para fazer bolhas e mais bolhas até que disséssemos, já tá legal :o)))))
Boa sexta galera
Beijo de sabão (eca) :o)))
Experimenting with different ways to make an abstract for bubbles. These are not water droplets at all. Just some soap’s and brain stretching. I hope you like them, I don’t know what I want to submit to Looking close…on Friday! The theme this Friday is bubbles.

In this series I was at WAP (Wild Animal Park) in San Diego and a guy with a bubble machine was blowing these for the kids. WOW I thought! What a great opportunity for a colorful photo.
Bought this big tube that makes big bubbles from walmart for $1. Can't resist making bubbles in the summer :P
These are so hard to photograph mid-air. Finally caught this one with reflection and all the cool colours on the surface.
Boredom can lead to creative thinking :-)
