(EXPLORE 4th January 2010)
(THANK YOU to everyone who is visiting this photo and making it a favorite! Means the world to me!!!)
I'll call this one Bubble Bokeh!
What started out as my son and I chasing bubbles around the back yard...ended up as day four.
It was incredibly hard to get the bubbles to be in focus. I now have 500 photo's of unfocused bubbles :) I ended up going manual focus and then just waiting for the bubbles to float through.
As a side note, that's the washing on the line. You'll notice it's out of focus...hence, why it's still hanging on the line after three days.

Couldnt decide the other day, which photo to choose in the spring photo contest ... but finally chose the other one. Now I think I should have sent this one instead. Maybe I would have won the 1st place :o) ha ha ha
American Bullfrog – I’m not sure exactly what’s happening here, but he’s lookin' good in a bubble beard.

I've never grown too old enjoy bubbles, and I've never had the opportunity to shoot them before. Found this chap whilst on a walk down the River Thames. I love the colours and how some of the buildings are visible in the reflections! (If you look closely!)
I didn't do a very good job in capturing the ice bubbbles. I'm sure some of it is my skill level combined with the conditions I had to work with, but those who know the lake are saying that this is a bad year for bubbles. It was a very strange freeze this year.
The bubbles are caused by pockets of methane rising from the lake bottom.
