for happy smile 😚 on Saturday #MULTICOLOUR BUBBLE BOKEH

Bear Bella dreams of a career as a ballerina, she wants to dance in the spotlight, together with her big friends Peter and Scout.

Beertje Bella wil later ballerina worden. Zij werkt heel hard aan de bar. Zij weet alles van plié, battement tendu, rond de jambe, battement fondu en grand battement.

A giant Hogweed seed head catching some summer sunshine...

This theme was very difficult!!! I am not an expert of this technique and I made a lot of tentatives before obtaining something acceptable. I used a long time exposure (by also employing an ND filter) and I stayed still for the first 1/2 - 2/3 of the time. I only moved the camera in the final part.

The final result reminded me a travel across dimensions (the distorted bubbles, the electricity...). But I wasn't able to anticipate the result. In any case, I enjoyed the whole process ("try and error" steps included) so much!!! :-)

Stay safe, dear friends, and have a nice and Happy CrAzY Tuesday!!! ;-)

I always feel weird when I have to name a flower. I do not distinguish many of them to start with, and then, I never border to learn their names in English or French.

I think that softness , a hint of halo and sharp-edged bokeh balls of MOG Trioplan 100mm wide open, work quite well in this image.

Nature's harvest at it's most vibrant! ;-))

"Nothing is more beautiful than the love that has weathered the storms of life."

(Jerome K. Jerome)

Somehow I love to see those worn leather seats / saddles: They tell a story of a well used (and maybe beloved) bike that has weatherd wind, rain and storms : ))

Taken on a photo walk in the city center to test this lens ... and I fell in love (so sorry, hubby :))

Happy Weekend everyone !

Crazy Tuesday - theme of March 12, 2019 - Blue is the colour

I was grocery shopping yesterday evening when I saw this blue creature (called "Blue Moon" on the tag)

Although I don't have a sweet tooth (besides beeing "crazy" for dark chocolate - see my last image for Crazy Tuesday) I couldn't resist to buy this blue treat so I could take a quick pic for Crazy Tuesday

(I initially planned to skip this week - like MM - due to heavy workload - but here you are: just for fun ;)

This is a very close up of this iced donut: the sprinkles are 1 mm in diameter

Happy Crazy Tuesday, everyone!

Yesterday I found an old lens I once bought on the internet (Ebay I think), a Pentacon 50mm 1.8. I used it a few times but never serious. Yesterday I placed it in my bag and gave it a chance. So, this is the result, not the sharpest shot ever but I like the bubble bokeh.

Fluid Sculpture: colored waterdrops colliding at high speed to form unique shapes. I really enjoyed creating this type of water drop art from a small glass of diluted acrylic paint. Most notably are the height of the Worthington jet, the top lighting and the soft bubble bokeh lights in the backdrop. This image was created in one exposure. However, it did take many attempts to create the collision seen in this image.

The Autumn colours will soon be a distant memory as winter seems to be taking an early grip on us!!!

Meyer Optik Trioplan 100mm f2.8

Dear friends, I'm going on with my experiments in using the tilt-shift adapter. This time, I tilted the focal plane to follow the point of the first pencil.

I hope that you will like the result. Have a nice evening! 🙋‍♂️

Found this japan made gem - Brilliant-Super 135mm f3.5 manual focus, great bokeh and condition, has a nice feel to it. Had no clue when it was made, came with a m42 adaptor hooked it to my sony a7, and start shooting.

Cool vibes ...on a blue note

Meyer-Optik Görlitz Trioplan 2.8/100

A spin-off from (and in contrast to) my contribution to last week's Macro Mondays theme "Four" (11-07-2022).

Manipulations include a little HDR treatment, a big slide on the white balance to create the blue tones, a touch-up on red and green (hue, saturation, brightness), and a pull on the gradation curve to plunge the violin's bridge into darkness (plus a little added black). A little dodging and burning in, some cropping and a touch of vignetting completed the processing.

All processing in SilkyPix Developer Studio Pro 9

Wishing all viewers a grooving SLIDERS SUNDAY!

Smile on Saturday: "Multicolour Bubble Bokeh" theme

HSoS and Happy New Year, everyone! Let's hope for a better year in 2022.

I found this Kodak FF 100mm f2.8 NOS projector lens gives bokeh that is pretty dmn close to THE 100mm f2.8 .

Other than that, just another flower bokeh with no pretensions.

My niece took me on a Slow Roll Photo Safari in Ann Arbor last night. A lot of things came together to make this happy accident. :-)

The Pentacon MC 50mm f:1.8 was the standard lens of the later Praktica cameras and was based on an older Meyer lens. Like many Meyer lenses it will in certain circumstances produce remarkable bubble-bokeh.

I find it interesting that the bokeh-bubbles have taken on the dandelion as the centre of their swirl, in spite of the fact that the flower is not in the centre of the picture.

"Embrace your flaws. You may be weathered and worn, tattered and torn, battered and bruised, but you are not broken. Know that you've become perfectly imperfect."

(Jay Long)

I do love all kind of weatherd things like this worn flaking paint on the rain pipe and facade of the building ... seen on a photo walk in the city center testing out a new lens ... already love the bubbly and dreamy bokeh it's creating ♥

... umarme Deine Makel ...

There has been so much wind and rain this Autumn that the leaves seem to be on their way out extra early this year. Shot with the Trioplan 2.8 100mm.

It's a glass dish containing snack crackers, with a small holiday tree adorned with white lights in the background responsible for the bokeh.

I've also posted a black and white version of this shot, which I actually like better. That shot is in the first comment. But I think the color version puts more emphasis on the crackers, so I went with it for this week's Crazy Tuesday "Biscuits and Crackers" theme.
