The photograph shows flowers of Utricularia cornuta (horned bladderwort). This plant species is widely distributed in North America and grows exclusively in wetlands such as bogs and fens. Horned Bladderwort plants are thought to be carnivorous, capturing and digesting small aquatic invertebrates (e.g. fairy shrimps, water fleas, rotifers and insect larvae) in specialized bladders situated on submerged blade like leaves. However evidence is accumulating that suggests the bladders may also serve to harbour mutually beneficial micro-organisms such as algae and bacteria that can provide key nutrients, in particular nitrogen, to the plant.

The strong bokeh lights from the background bends around the obstacle edges in-front (tree & fence post) to create such unique result - bokeh diffraction.
ThereΒ΄s a foolish reason for finish this one in monochrome..I like the feather form in the middle as the cat eye bokeh from the corner, and just wanna focus on this.
So.... A single eye close portrait by a Ciclop ;-)
Whether we admit it or not, we all believe in magic. We may have become slaves of the daily grind of our life but a part within us wants to emancipate itself from it and hopes for something magical to happen
Challenging me in order to protect all the hens. So not bad to shot he as close as this one. Both trying to do our best.
Jupiter 9. A non F stop lens. Probably half a step close to f2.5
As usual, global adjust.
Let me add I love the things this lens do with red tones...
Thanks all.

Outdoors with my cam the other afternoon- a pretty little daisy showing his incredible face and I just capture him bathing in the sun and a big, big bubble bokeh... :-)
These are glass mosaic tiles.
Taken with the Meyer-Optik Goerlitz Trioplan f2.8/100 lens.
This was shot with the lens wide open at f2.8. The lens is known for it's incredible 'soap bubble' bokeh.
ItΒ΄s only light. ItΒ΄s only an optic defect. ItΒ΄s only life.
Here are my best whises for you Fllickr friends. As much as you are able to count bubbles flares in this shot.
Wish you get the balance between the reasonable prudence and the insane panic and fear that politics and his media gives us.
ItΒ΄s only an advice. ItΒ΄s only a thought...
Happy new year to all
Immature berries of a Baneberry plant (Actaea sp.) growing in a woodland in eastern Canada. All parts of this native plant are poisonous, particularly the berries. Depending on the species, the berries are either white (Actaea pachypoda) or vivid red (Actaea rubra) when ripe.

This image was taken for a theme related to ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia International Awareness Day (May 12th).
M.E. Awareness Week was established by patient advocates and is focused on May 12th, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, who was believed to have suffered with M.E.
From 1857 Nightingale found herself often disabled by poor health, which some suggest may well have been Chronic Fatigue Syndrome(CFS).
As a result, Nightingale now has been adopted as a kind of patron saint for this under-studied disease.
Even if the theme is about a serious illness, I tried to manage to get a smile out of you by using these pebbles. A big hug to all of you!
I am in love with my Meyer-Optik Gorlitz projector lens... please, be patient with me and my addiction. π π π
Have a nice Friday, dear friends! πββοΈ

Last week I went out looking for signs of spring but didn't find any yet. Good thing there was plenty of bokeh around.
(Chapter one of three) Diaplan 100 3.5 projector lens.
Let's take off into a hopefully more joyful, carefree, healthy and happy 2022 !
Wishing you all the best ... please take care and stay safe
THANKS a lot for your great support and friendship in 2021 !

Crazy Tuesday - theme of April 19, 2022: Lens Flare(s)
deliberate lens flares - taken with the manual vintage Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 - wide open
I have noticed only now that this manual lens creates its erratic flares more easily with the older K-5 than with the K-70 (my current camera). Maybe due to the different sensors (missing low pass filter?) ... I don't know.
Has been fun nonetheless : ))
Will try it again with the K-5 though (didn't have the body with me this weekend)

For Smile on Saturday's #multicolour bubble bokeh theme
Using a christmas tapestry as a backdrop to create some hexogonal bubble bokeh. The tapestry is of a wintry village scene from "days gone by"... think Little House on the Prairie with snow, horse and cart and christmas trees.
Happy 2022 to everyone, and happy Smile on Saturday :-)
I just noticed if I enlarge this, there is some kind of green insect on the bottom of the Monarda. I'm not sure what it is. Glad it didn't bite me.
The bokeh is created by light coming through my lattice fence and reflecting off flowers. Somehow the lens picked this up and created the bubble bokeh. I like it better than my butterfly that I captured.
Captured with my micro lens so lots of details enlarged.
This is a detail of a golden lurex scarf, magnified at 0.7X. I hope that you will like the result, dear friends! ;-)
Stay safe and have a nice weekend.

My little son (7yo) gave me this funny little octopus for my birthday. I was very happy!!! πππ
Therefore, I choose it for the theme of today.
I hope that you will like the result, dear friends.
