Sarah liked part of the first shot of the poppy I posted today, so I am adding this on, taken during the same shoot, from a different angle. Hope you like this darker version, too, Sarah!

taken against the evening sun; it was the first time I got real soap bubble bokeh with this vintage lens 😊

Happy Friday !

Water inside the glass is spinning, and the refracted light is bended by the moving liquid.

In my mind, the effect should resemble the gravitational bending of the light near a wormhole (or something of similar), but it was too much difficult to compute the right exposure (and I started too late, this evening). So, this is the best that I have obtained.

I hope that you will like it!

Stay safe and have a nice and happy CrAzY Tuesday, dear friends!!!

Even when the Autumn leaves are dried and ready to fall they still have a certain beauty...Shot with the Helios 44M in very low light.

Zoom in and get lost in the surreal madness of different shapes of light due to the optical anomalies and aberrations of the lens.

Russula mushrooms are invariably ectomycorrhizal in that they form an intricate and beneficial association with trees. Through a network of strands (mycelia) the fungus facilitates uptake of water and nutrients, particularly nitrogen and phosphorus to the plant host but requires energy (in the form of sugars) in return.

My son (almost 6yo) found this particular daisy. I took this picture (with my beloved Diaplan), but he liked much more this other one (that is more detailed)

In any case, I hope that you will like the result.

Edar 100mm f2.8 vintage projector lens. This lens does crazy flare! But takes more time to compose to get the right amount of light.

you see the fence and colourful exterior lighting of a beer garden belonging to a notorious student pub in my town ...

I often cycle past there after work - one evening in February with my camera in my bag :))

This was my submission for 52Frames - week 7: intenional color palette

I wanted to create colourful, joyful bubbly bokeh ... to show the rather cheerfulness of this quite nice place :)

It seems that they were guided a bit by complementary colours when hanging up the light bulbs ... or I just was lucky

Happy Weekend to you all ... and HFF !!

Ich wollte ein farbenfrohes Bokeh schaffen ... um etwas von der Frölichkeit dieses Ortes wiederzugeben :)

Taken with the manual vintage lense Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 - wide open. This lens is a bit of a diva with a sometimes very erratic bokeh like here ... don't know yet whether I like it, lol ;))

Post Processing:

A mix of Topaz 'City Flare' (mainly) and 'Heavy Metal' (at about 10% opacity) - partially undone via a layer mask.

Further processing with Affinity Photo.

Happy Sliders Sunday :))

MOG Trioplan 100mm is one of those lenses that abundantly and easily produce bubbly bokeh. As almost all triplets. But even Trioplan could not produce bubbles out of thin air. Tiny points of light in the background are needed, and to make big bad bubbles they need to be far away from the subject. That is not an easy feat in the Montreal winter. Sun is scarce and there is almost nothing to be favourable background for Trioplan bokeh. A 1.1 meter MFD makes things harder.

Unless I put it on bellows or helicoid. I had excellent Topcon exacta bellows. Those screwdriver bits from camera reparation kit are a perfect source of light points and in the macro world far away from subject in background get completely different meaning.

I could get even closer but, then, the bubbly bokeh is all but lost. It becomes monotone and smooth. And, in terms of sharpness, Trioplan is far from a good macro performer.

Small but beautiful. I love the little world landscapes of the fungis.

Seen in Munich, SIEMENS Headquarters Courtyard.

Shot with Sony A7 Mii and the Meyer-Optik-Görlitz Trioplan 2.8/100 neo at F=2.8.

After a six-year project period, including three years of construction work, the new Siemens headquarters building in Munich opened its doors on June 24, 2016. With about 45,000 square meters of aboveground floor space, the company has created a modern, inspiring work environment for about 1,200 employees. Environmental friendliness and energy efficiency play a key role here: the new building meets the world's highest sustainability standards. In 2010, Siemens and the city of Munich officially announced the launch of this innovative construction project and organized an architectural competition. The winning design, which was developed by the Danish architectural firm Henning Larsen Architects, skillfully combined tradition with the future. The historic Ludwig Ferdinand Palais and its adjacent building were renovated and seamlessly integrated into the new cutting-edge headquarters. Ever since the building opened in the summer of 2016, its ground floor and inner courtyards – with trees, a café, a restaurant and a water feature – have been publicly accessible. The new Siemens passageway creates a pedestrian corridor enabling Munich residents and visitors to stroll between the Bavarian capital's historic center and its museum district. The project was implemented by Siemens Real Estate, which is a leading corporate real estate company and is responsible for all of Siemens' real estate activities.
