This build should not have taken five years to finish. But here we are, I guess.
Largely inspired by the Metroid Prime series.
Big thanks to Huw from Brickset for the photography, and the folks here on Flickr and Discord for the advice, crit and kind words on various WIP photos over the years.
Built these for Brickset's Brickheadz Competition as well as our LUG's next building competition.
Though, now that I've gotten into the building style of these, I could see trying a couple more...
A.K.A. Star Wars Bohrok.
My (rushed) last-minute entry to the Build With the Force contest.
I initially planned to build Cav, a SCAR Trooper from the comics (you can see him here, he's the Scout), but eventually thought that even with a lot of knives and a robotic arm, a Stromtrooper is a bit boring. So I've built a Droideka instead, putting the 4M brown shells I've gotten from bricklink a few months ago to good use. Unfortunately, this one doesn't roll into a ball, but I'll certainly build a more set-like version with a few technic features in the near future (don't expect something as rad as the good old Technic Droideka though). Good thing a certain Star Wars Ultrabuild set from this summer contains brown Technic pieces. :v
Haven't stepped into the realm of digital building in a few months, so here goes nothin! I got the idea from Stepola1503's marvelous work, particularly his Flounder.
As legs are exceedingly difficult for me, I shamelessly used them from the Blizzard Exclusive Omnic Bastion.
Inspired by the spaceway that Mr_Minotaurus built at Bricking Bavaria and the Annual Challenge on RogueBricks.de with the topic 90 years of LEGO, I built a remake of the Space Police II set "Sonar Security" (6852) from '93.
My version is quite a bit bigger than the original, allowing for a bit more detail in the design as well as a more functional rocket launching trailer. It also has flexibly suspended wheels on the lorry and trailer, allowing for better offroad capabilities. And it includes lighting features with the battery box and hub neatly hidden behind the cockpit and accessible through a hatch on the roof.
Building instructions and further details can be found on Rebrickable.

Category: Reclaim the Theme:
To some extent Nexo Knights has been very disappointing for Lego fans; where are we going to get new minifigures, shields, factions, and the like? Well, for this category you can fix that! Take an existing Nexo Knights set and remake it in a style more fitting with the Tourney (in other words, "Castlify it"). As noted in category 1, all entries should have strong aesthetic similarities to the original set (consider the prominent stylistic features of the theme as a whole, too), but should also be re-made to fit in with a medieval/fantasy setting.

Woo, that was tiring.
I, once again, had to build most of this over the weekend, but I'm fairly pleased with how it came out. Some sections were rushed, but I thought other came together quite nicely.
Thanks to Connor and Noel for some last minute criticism.
This is my entry for the Brickset 60 Years of the LEGO Brick Competition.
The Monorail was my favourite space set when I was a child. I still own it today and it is still fascinating me.
I built this both for Iron Forge and Brickset's Build a Bonsai competition. The seed part is again the banana.

"The Best 4x4xFar"
Set number 6698 is probably the first Lego set I was given as a child, and to this day is one of my favourites. I knew I wanted to include an updated version in this series, and the 4x4 in it was clearly meant to be a Series 3.
But figuring out how to actually build a S3 in 6 studs and have it be recognizable turned out to be much harder than I expected.
7 studs would've been better, but I've already done the S1 and Defender at 6 studs, so I'm committed to that scale.
I have a LDD file with earlier versions that is dated 6 months ago, and in that time I have switched between trying to design it in LDD or with real bricks at least 4 times, periodically returning to it and giving up again soon after.
I'm fairly happy with the final result, even if the proportions of the nose is a little too cartoonish.
Alright, here we go, Round 3, final chance to make it to the winner's circle.
Welcome to Moosehead Lodge.
Been wanting to make a moose ever since I got Hawkodile. And I never thought I'd ever use that Nexo Knights Shield. The build is actually laying on my desk and stays upright due to a tiny crack in a knot; the magic of photography... *sparkle* *sparkle*

Thanks for stopping by Moosehead Lodge!
A few years ago I rebuilt the #6781 SP -Striker from my childhood, maybe my favorite Lego set of all time, and I've been wanting to rebuilt it with more modern parts while keeping the original shapes, proportions and of course light function. The build went quite easily and only took a few hours, but the lighting system was quite challenging. My first idea was to use PF lights, but it was a failure. In the end, I'm using 3 light bricks: a white/yellow for the cockpit console, and two red ones for the main lights. A knob allows to switch the lights on and of (I'll try to make a picture of the mechanism). I also had to redesign the cell pod, again trying to keep the same size and shape. I added a M-Tron magnet on top because magnets are cool! And that allows me to secure the pod at the back of the Striker without using clips.
Hope you like it as much as I do :)
This watergun is based on the air pressure watergun like this.
I'm not sure whether I get this right or not, since I never have and hold this air pressure water gun before when I was a kid and it's not the popular type here in my country due to the expensive price of this type. The watergun I played when I was a kid is something more like this :D

My small, last-minute contribution to Febrovery. This is an updated version of 6826 Crater Crawler from 1985. Aside from adding more modern parts, I also improved the ground clearance substantially.

I love building these busts! :)

Where the Mountains Meet the Sea
The castle town of Alnor sits at the base of a mountain range giving it access to the sea for trade routes. Perched on the mountain's foothills, the town is fortified by a wall on three side; the mountains provide cover from the fourth side. A watchtower at the foot of the mountains provides a view of both the sea and the land.
In this prosperous time, the village has expanded from the castle walls to the valley between the sea and the forest.
I built this MOC both for the Classic Castle Context XVI's *Micro Medieval Mountain* category and for LOLUG's November Iron Builder competition where the seed piece was the red cheese slope.
More pictures, including the making of, are on my website.
A robot inquisitor without morals or mercy.
This guy was built around his head, which I tablescrapped months ago after getting a bunch of the shovel pieces. I guess you can think of him as sort of a robosaint-inspired followup to my horse.
Also, I'm trying something new with my photo uploads this time. I think a main image alone might look better in feeds, so I've uploaded the other two as private, and put them so you can see them in this album here. I'd love to hear which way of presenting you prefer, if you have a preference. And as always, enjoy the MOC!
Also, here's the more detailed 'bio,' since I've gone ahead and entered this guy in the Brickset character contest:

A revamp of Unitron set 1789 Star Hawk II, built for NCLUG's September MOC challenge where the theme was "revamp a pre-2000 set".
I only use 1 seed part as the wine glass for this build, and this is how I made the wine glass.
The black tables and chairs on the background are using black bricks, it's not a lighting effect :)
Inspired and dedicated this build for my friend Mike McKenzie aka LEGOMINDED, which I really love his building style on making an emotional and meaningful theme, his eyes for details and arrangement and how he uses dim/dark lighting to make an awesome scene.

After building the rather intimidating jaw, I just couldn't bring myself to goof it up with those googly eyes. I went with a deepsea prawn-like monster because I felt the other Flexers looked rather like sea creatures.
My entry for the brickset bonsai competition. Didn't like the first two shots too much so I ended up reshooting the model.
Huw from Brickset was kind enough to build the LEGO Factory Playset (my LEGO Ideas project) and write a review about it on Brickset.com.

I always love Stitch character from the first time I saw it, and now even more since my 2 years old 2nd son have a similar behavior like Stitch...cute. like to climb up anything and like to mess up the whole house when no ones around…lol
So one of the first thing that comes up in my mind when I opened the 2x2 Dark Blue Domes was…Wow! This is the perfect piece I’ve been looking around for Stitch to be added to my Brick Buddies character collection.
The only problem is, I need 4 pcs of 2x2 Round Blue Tiles that are rare and I have order it from Denmark’s Bricklink Store, though I made the order on the first week of this month but untill today it haven’t arrive yet, on the other hand I have to share this today since I have my other planned builds that are on my list. For sure for my own satisfaction I’ll be taking another shot once the tiles arrive.
Update: 17 October 2015, new shot with the 2x2 round tile blue for the top of the head :)

This is a remake of set 2508 as part of the Ninjago: Kickback collaboration with Rebellug.
This was my first time using internal lighting (for the fire), and some of my favourite sections are the roof and the 5-piece bonsai tree. See if you can spot Bugs Bunny's head!
Also many thanks to Marko and Eann for running and editing the collaboration!
Haha, their eyebrows are raised in the opposite directions... :D And his coral torso is quite bright, but it somewhat works... I liked these two the most out of the Vidiyo animals... they remind me of Fabuland minifigs, albeit updated... I'm guessing this is Bonnie Bunny and her friend! XD
The Solar Power Transporter that I built for the Steel City LUG build challenge.
I tried to include the design cues and play features of the original while adding my own flavor to the design.
Check out the features and details, play features video, and wheel assembly breakdown.
This is the second mech in this series inspired by Bounty Hunter Speeder Bike Battle Pack.
I was reluctant to start this one as IG-88 has been done many times before and I wasn't sure how to tackle it and it stayed unfinished for a long time whilst I worked on the other mechs in this series.
The upper torso with it's space for the minifig and the shoulder joint gave me no end of grief but seeing IG-11 in action in Episode 1 of the Mandalorian helped me realise how he would move in battle (instead of the stiffly awkward way he was portrayed in Empire) and that the important thing was to try to capture this sense of motion.
Anyway, here he is and I'm glad to get this one out of the way haha.
I hope you like it!
I bought this after kingkong's comment to make the car fly... XD It's actually Emmet's car but with wings. I didn't know it came factory sealed, I guess the seller got it through the Toys R Us exclusive way back in 2017. A happy surprise nonetheless to receive a factory sealed Lego bag!
With some modifications, with one plate higher so that other ponytail minifigs can fit inside the car...
It's actually the same car build as last year's Town-Centre car only in a different colour...
In design school we learned that constraints inspire creativity. If you'd told me to build just any castle, I'd have been stuck. As soon as I decided to build variations on set 375, I had a dozen ideas.
This has been a year-long tribute to set 375 by Daniel August Krentz, the first non-Danish fan to end up as a designer at LEGO. Like the original, these are 32x32 studs, open up on the sides, and follow the footprint of three towers and a front and back gate.
I displayed this collection at BrickCon this year; the tree-top castle won Best Fantasy. More photos of all the castles:
Hope you've enjoyed them!
Blogged by Bricknerd, thank you :)
Hey Guys!
Sorry for being rather inactive lately.
I hadn't had much time to build so far this year.
But I thought the "60 Years of the LEGO Brick Competition" over on Brickset is a good excuse to get back in the game.
There are many awesome entries already, but there are far more LEGO Sets that still deserve the "Micro"-treatment.
I picked the largest Set of one of my favourite LEGO Themes: Exo-Force
Released more than a decade ago, the Sentai Headquarter is the main base of the humans on Sentai Mountain.
The Set depicts an attack by the Robots from the other side.
So of course I included Meca One's "Venom I" and Hikaru's "Silent Strike" flies to the defence.
I built so many black baseplates for my MOCs already; So I wanted to do something a bit different and recreated part of the Box-Art.
I had a lot of fun putting this together and I hope you guys like it! :)

The Tourney Group: www.flickr.com/groups/tourney2016/pool/
I think this is the best of my Tourny builds so far. Not necessarily because it's the most aesthetically pleasing, as I feel like that goes to my R1 build. I think this build however, was by far the most creative. In my R1 build, I used a lot of well known techniques, and though the half arch was kinda cool, it still wasn't that creative or hard to achieve. With this build I went for a very different style, trying to keep the overall look simple, while trying to create some more complex angles and aesthetics (like the lower wall). Likewise, I wanted the tree to have a simple somewhat smooth feel, but at the same time have branches sticking out at all sorts of angles. Building the fort around the branches was surprisingly difficult for me, and it left the upper part being an rather awkward shape.
Aspects of the build I would have liked to work on more would have manly been the base, and the transition from the lower to upper part of the fort. I think the overall aesthetic of the build would have been much better with a wider base that wrapped around the fort more.
One of my entries for the Brickheadz contest on Brickset.
Instructions for all of these and more are available here: rebrickable.com/users/Oky/mocs/
Hey guys,
I'm really sorry for the lack of posts recently. Unfortunately the MOCs for Bricking Bavaria 2019 are taking longer than expected.
So until I'll finally be able to show of some really big new stuff I'll just show you some older models and varients of MOCs I never posted.
This white BARC speeder uses the sticker piece from the 2014 Battle on Saleucami set. I came up with the idea of building the speeder in white when I discoverd the sticker which looked really great and I wanted to see if it would go alongside my minifigscale version as well.
But what do you guys think?
Please leave some Feedback in the comments!

There arent many great Boat Sets these days imo (at least none that look realistic). After the IDEAS keep getting more martitime since last year, i thought why not join in and try something completely brickbuild;)
Been a favorite Set back in a day, so except for decaling i tried my best getting the type of boat/yacht matching with the flair of the old set from 1991...
brickset.com/sets/4011-1/Cabin-Cruiser
For size comparisson i included one of the 1/43 scale cars.
And credit where credit is due:
Pls check out this very well done speedboat hull engineering i mainly copied and enlargened for this build.
Better watch out, because we're going after the gold!
And that's it from me! Been an awesome round, chaps, congrats to y'all!
In case you haven't recognized it already, this is (pretty obviously) a MOD of the Soldiers' Fort - definitely something different for me, though as a matter of fact I never got the original set, so this was totally built on my own, haha!
Sixth and last build for the ABS Season 2 Finale with the Silver Goblet of Destiny! The cannon torch and prison bars were the uses that inspired this build, but I thought I'd just get as many other fun uses in after that as I could!
Thanks for viewing, C&C welcome as always!
Here's my micro-scale model for Brickset's Star Wars competition, featuring the Battle of Crait from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. I'm really looking forward to this contest, especially for all the other entries. I actually gotta thank Brickset for last year's Star Wars competition, as that was what got me into Flickr; in fact, it's only 6 more days until my 1 year anniversary :D So I guess this model is me thanking them as well XD I hope you enjoy!
Oh, here's a closer look at the models by the way :)
