-1 Kuiil Minifigure
-1 Baby Yoda figure
-1 pouch accessory
-1 pole accessory
*NOT A REAL SET*
35 Pieces total
I was limited by the piece count restrictions, so I had to get creative. I hope you enjoyed :))
This is my version of the official Lego set, 41180: Ragana's Magic Shadow Castle, which was built for Brickworld Chicago 2017.

This was a fun little build to construct...and a build that turned out to be not so little. I loved the set this was inspired by, so it was somewhat of a dream build of mine to make a larger version and this recent Brickworld seemed like the perfect opportunity to complete that dream. I constructed a full interior for this, and was very much surprised and elated when the tower was nominated for Best Small Building (that's a very competitive category!). But now begins the task of keeping this tower alive for a year, as I intend to display it once more at BW 2018 with a companion build--my version of the set 41188: Breakout from the Goblin King's Fortress.
A modernization of the Adventurers: Dino Island set 5920 "Island Racer", my very first Lego car set. Adventurers has long been one of my favorite themes for its period setting, and Sam Sinister’s "Island Racer" is one of my favorite sets in the theme. In this design homage, the form has been normalized to be closer to real-world styling of the era, with the inclusion of details such as bumpers, front cycle fenders, and a hood ornament.
More photos available in the build album. Many thanks to the Lego Car Blog for their post about this build!

A big greeblyboi, built for the speeder-themed LondonAFOLs July meet-up.
It utilises the big cubes and cloth parts from
Andrea's Bunny Cube, which was a gift from Gubi challenging me to use them in a MOC.
"This is a dragon right? I mean, the teacher said there were dragons somewhere in this area."
"It must be - looks similar to the one we caught earlier! He'll be so proud of us."
Entry for the "Every Set Could be a Castle Set" category of the Summer Joust, based on set 5987: Dino Research Compound. I tried to transfer most of the set's main details to this moc, focusing especially on the building, bridge, and landscaping layout. Of course compared to the original I tried to make the moc much more coherent and clean.
Obvious take would have been to just convert all the dinos to dragons, but I thought it would be funnier and more interesting to have the researchers studying a bunch of random animals with no idea what a dragon actually looks like. On a side note, this approach also worked best with the base size which is quite large (exactly the same size as the set actually), but still doesn't have that much empty space for the dragons (in the original set, the dinos and vehicles aren't even on the base).
A few more technical details - the top of the central tower is the most complicated part technically (other than perhaps the dragon and bridge), using vertical 1x4 brackets to place the mixels joints at the right offsets. Probably would be much simpler using 1x1 brackets but I have none. Bridge is also about half upside down and took quite a long time to get a good design. Also the technic brick pattern on the base actually originally was because I was going to have a round section of the base in front and needed them for technical reasons, but I ended up liking the pattern and kept them even after removing the round part.
Also, I wanted to get a comparison picture between the original and this moc, but I thoroughly underestimated how hard it would be to photograph something this size.
One more entry, which i've been working on for like 5-6 weeks now*, coming hopefully? Either late tomorrow or saturday?
*this is actually true, if you count starting on it like 6 weeks ago for 2 hours then not touching it again until last night as "working on it"... also, meant to have 2 more entries so that I could have one entry per category, but this moc + the castle scene in my collab took me way longer than I had expected. Anyway, enjoy!
More Pictures, including interior here.
Beyond the Brick interview.
Originally built in February of 2017. This was built in 5 days for the Tourney Contest for the "Set Revamp" category. Based off of the original LEGO set 6048.
My entry to round three of The Tourney:
Guild: The Archdukes of Chaa-buk-buk
Category: Set Revamp
I revamped Skeleton Ship Attack. It may not be at first obvious, seeing it's an obscure set, for me anyway, but you see I've got the red and black ship with the high forecastle and aftcastle, the wall with the arch, one tower (instead of two) and the house. I turned the drawbridge into a dock too - but I did keep the cracked boards, only it's a cannonball and not a trap. Anyway, I was very busy, but managed to get a lot done and am almost entirely satisfied with this. Check out chapter four of the story on MOCPages! More of the ship and the build later, hope you like it. And wait, before you mention it, I did the flag the way I thought it looked best in the photo, if you think it should be another way... well..
11:20 could be an exciting time of the day in the Vehicle Design Department of Llwyngwril Systems. Elevenses would just be finished. Tuesdays were especially fraught. The fevered minds of the design team would be set racing by the sugar rush from sweet tea and chocolate bourbon biscuits. Some people even managed to get a whole mini-packet of three to themselves. Wednesdays were calmer, as it was digestives and nobody liked those.
The Techno Snail was obviously designed on a Tuesday. We'd like to say that the spacemen of Classic Space were duped again by Llwyngwril Systems into buying something that they didn't want. Sadly this was not the case. The designers thought it was a funny vehicle and so did the spacemen.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
This was actually inspired by Andres Lenander's Steampunk Snail. I'm not sure what sort of biscuits he likes...
You can watch the Snail in action here on Flickr.
The Snail is powered by the Lego 12799 pull-back motor.
We're making today a perfect day for yooooou!

"Whether you need a new cart or have one to repair, come to the Corner Cartwright, and we'll be there!"
My entry to the "Every Set Could be a Castle Set" category of the Summer Joust. I did the 10264 Corner Garage set from 2019.
I made the building in a similar shape as the one in the official Corner Garage. I included many of the features too, like the tree, the balcony, the sign, and a chimney. Instead of the gas pumps I put in a well, and instead of the truck I put in a horse and cart.
A photo with the set for comparison can be found here!
Hope you like it!
I felt like taking photos again, so I tried with something very simple.... a portrait with a grey background. Pain wise, I did better this time but I still got very sore after 15 minutes, so this shot was taken very quickly :-)
I love the set and this minifigure... I think Lego did a great job with her. By the way, did anyone else see the controversy on Brickset when this set was announced? Some people were upset that Lego included a female knight. I was thrilled that there were female minifigs included and it made me want the set even more :-)
Entry for the Eurobricks Mega Building LEGO CMFs Contest 2016, Category Mega A, for the Series 15 Frightening Knight.
A second pairing for the Brickheadz Competition put on by Brickset. I don't know if it will count or not, but it was fun to figure out!
“You have no idea how much I’ve gone through to get here - and if you don’t get out of my way, I’ll go through you as well.”
An unruly Onu-Matoran carpenter and a disillusioned Fe-Matoran tinker;
Briss and Thanne abandoned their mundane, ‘pointless’ labour, instead casting off into the seas for promise of freedom and opportunity.
Despite their small physique, as well as damage to their leg and lungs respectively; the couple have fought Skakdi pirates, evaded Toa protectors, and endured many tribulations together.
With Thanne’s Scatterblaster and ingenuity, plus Briss’ Hull-Cleaver and ‘moral flexibility’; the two have become more than just a pair of petty criminals.

Last-minute dual entry to the Brickset Character Contest.
(Man, even I can't hide how ugly that mask is haha)
Earlier this year, I decided to recreate the Hero Factory set Jetbug as a mecha.
The hips are based on this concept by jakobekvall, but use 3D-printed parts. The upper torso is based on ReFrame V2 by Messymaru. The legs are also inspired by his work.
Many elements of the design, like the body, the lower legs, or the shoulder shields are inspired by the Gundam Astaroth Origin.
Air-street racing: It's street racing, but in the air! Also highly illegal.
Inspired by Star Wars landspeeders such as these, as well as the various GARC racers that have been popping up in my contacts feed.
A microscale build of set 76051 Super Hero Airport Battle for the 60th Anniversary of the LEGO Brick contest on Brickset.
This entry won joint 2nd place.
Tried to build a little something for Brickset's contest.
It doesn't really fit the style of the mini models from the set 40290, so I'll try to build something else this weekend.
Re-imagined 9448 Samurai Mech for Eurobrick's Ninjago Legacy contest. Two days of intesive building on this one.
More on Cyclopic Bricks.
Used some recolors from the new Ford Fiesta WRC to build a new variant of my Samarobriva-class space racer. The Speed Champions sets are a goldmine of new parts !
Chro, Master of Darkness, self-MOC of Chro, nominated by Logey Bear and Voxumo!
Vladek’s sword seemed perfect to match the shape of the larger weapon on Chro. Had a lot of fun playing around with technic shapes and trying out those hands.
Captain Salvador is a man of conviction and skill, with a sense of hope he hides behind a gruff, grumpy exterior. He has spent decades leading his crew aboard the Carriedo both shuttling refugees from floating island to floating island, and leading raids against the oppressive oligarchy that rules his world. He truly believes that someday his home will be free, and all will be able to sail the skies with as much grace and ease as the mythical Clouded Whales themselves.
Until that day, he fights for those who cannot.
Built for the Brickset Character Building Competition. And it won!

Another build for the Roguebricks Annual Challenge focused on celebrating 90 years of LEGO sets. This time I’m paying tribute to the often overlooked
Extreme Team theme. My brothers and I had a couple of them growing up and loved the brightly colored minifigures and spectacular vehicles.
The line covered a lot of extreme sports, but not hydroplane racing and that seemed like exactly the sort of thing the Extreme Team would be into. So I built this hydroplane with jet-ski to accompany it.
See more on Brickbuilt.
This is my entry for the third category of the IdS Architecture Contest. The task here was to build a fictional building or Skyline in the style of the Lego Architecture series
As a great Harry Potter fan it was only logical to build Hogwarts Castle. I am pretty happy with the result.
The presentation of my model was largely influenced by MstrOfPppts entry and of course the original Architecture box art.
As always your feedback is of course very welcome!
...besides ours...I guess…hehehehe. Well I hope you all guys can recognize this beloved family :)
For the build it self, I’m kinda stuck of ideas cause I only have limited Dark Blue colors, and one of the Dark Blue color part I have quite a lot is the 2x2 round brick that I bought for my failed (BL3) “Beautiful Lego 3: Nature” due to the slow shipping and late arrival T_T. So I think I’m gonna stuck for a while exploring ideas using the 2x2 round bricks for the mystery part and you guys will seeing more of it. The good side is, I think I can tweak a bit my plan for BL3 entry and hope I can make it to realization for this IB round :)
It’s my 2nd entry for Iron Builder competition vs. Gilcelio Chagas. The secret ingredient for this round is 2 x 2 Domes in Dark Blue.

This is an entry to the CCCX "Classic Set Reimagined" Category, based on the classic set 6062-1: Battering Ram.
This build features hinged walls and an opening door just like the classic set.
“Nothing is more memorable than a smell.”

The flowers on the wall is inspired by this lovely wall made by Kristel (kjw010). When I first saw that, I always wanna try to make one myself if the theme or subject is right, and I think this perfumes bottle will looks good using that beautiful technique.

Tired of bouncing along the heavily cratered lunar surface? Dying of ennui dodging flaming volcanic vents on Venus? Lolling with lassitude from avoiding crashing into Clanger caves?
Why not convert you old Classic Space rover into a smooth and speedy hover bike with Llwyngwril Systems latest conversion kit?

Armed with a high-energy railgun and two racks of cluster missiles, and nigh-impenetrable armor, Titan Arum walkers were a fearsome presence on the battlefield.
I got the Flowerpot GWP and thought, "Cool, but what if it was a giant robot?" The basic design came together quickly but it took me a while to refine it in a way that made it feel like a machine rather than some weird plant monster, and still incorporate some "plant" elements.
This started out as me trying to come up with an idea for the Eurobricks 25 Years of Adventure competition, I was imagining the top of a huge Mesoamerican pyramid emerging from the cloud canopy but it was quickly obvious I didn't have enough bricks to build a 48 x48 square so I had to settle for an update of 5906: Ruler of the Jungle.
I decided to change the original blue to teal, which caused it to look like a Monkie Kid set, but I carried on anyway.
It also looks quite like a build I did in 2015.
Instructions (without cloud base) here
The big wheel of the "Ultra Stealth Raider " was the starting point for this MOC. I only have this one, so what could I use it for?
The result is a futuristic, five-wheeled offroader. The look of it reminds me a bit of the Beetle or the Kübelwagen ("The Thing") from Volkswagen, so I put the printed VW tiles on the wheels.
But why on earth would one build a five-wheeled car like this? No clue! Yes, the traction is probably pretty good but the view from the cockpit is pretty one-sided...
Week 2 of Mechtober 2021! For this mech, the seed part was one of the printed slopes from 7957 Sith Nightspeeder. I've got tons of these slopes, I seem to find a few in every bulk lot I pick through... Unfortunately, everything else in that set was stickers, and I don't have any of those.
Originally, this was going to be a little more samurai-esque, but after starting the shoulder armor it kind of reminded me of a poncho, a la Clint Eastwood as the Man with No Name. And thus, I settled on the moniker "Gunslinger". Overall, I don't like this one as much as the Tuner, but there's still some bits I'm pleased with, like the snowshoes in the leg armor and the shoulder assemblies, both armor and joints.
Poor Cody, Michael, and Faron, they like all too many ambitious builders fell prey to the dangers of this brutal alien world known as Planet ABS. They got too greedy, searching for the energy crystals, and they went too deep into the mushroom forest. They have woken the beast of ABS!
The alien creature can stand up (as seen here) and it can crawl.
My first entry for the ABS Builder Challenge.

The seed part is the telephone piece: brickset.com/parts/4210676
Main generator for this mecha was part 92279 (brickset.com/parts/4598856). This formed the basis of the leg design and colour sheme.
With the Warhammer build as my final build, I want this build as my closure build :) It’s what I’m feeling now, that though I’ve been beaten by my opponent…at the end I’m happy and proud that I am still standing here and have survived till the end of this IB round :)
As my Iron Builder’s round have completed and I have try my best :) I would like to thank to Guy Himber for inviting and convinced me to participate in this awesome Iron Builder competition, at the end I don’t care much about whether I’ll loose or not which I’m worried a lot back then and the reason why I’m declining the first invitation. I believed this competition have made me comes up with some of my best builds so far, trying something new, and challenge my own limit as a builder…so again thanks Guy for inviting me, it's such a wonderful experience :)
I would also like to thank to Gil for being such a tough opponent and it’s a great honor and pleasure to challenge him on this IB round, even more he is one of my fave builder :) Thanks Gil! I would also like to apologize if there are any words or smacktalks that are inappropriate…with my poor English, I’m very bad at smacktalks and puns…lol :D
I would like to thank Ryan H. (Eldeeem) for his donation of the seed part which is the rare 2x2 Dark Blue Dome that’s really hard to find, which is very interesting to explore in this IB round and also for my future built :)
And last but not least, I would like to thank to all of you guys who give your time to comments on my builds, it's really one of the thing that motivates and encouraged me...I truly thank you guys :)
It’s my 25th entry for Iron Builder competition vs. Gilcelio Chagas. The secret ingredient for this round is 2 x 2 Domes in Dark Blue.

Set #6048 Majisto's Magical Workshop was one of my favorite sets as a kid. So when LEGO announced their 90th Anniversary Micro-Scale contest, this set was at the top of my list. Click here for the link to my entry.
I also submitted this to the Summer Joust's12x12 Vignette category. I included as many features of the original set as I could at this scale.
The building opens on a hinge. Both figures, Majisto and a Dragon Knight, are present. There is a table (unpictured), treasure chest, skillet on the fire and a ladder upstairs.
I used the original 53° 3x1x3 1/3 slope to get the angle right on the roof.
If you enjoyed this creation, check out TomSkippy's Dragon Masters Micro layout featuring the whole Dragon Master collection in micro scale.
TRU in Hawaii gets it on 1/26 for $67.95 aguh! Picture borrowed from Brickset till I can get a photo if I buy it.
I recreated the classic LEGOLAND (Yellow) castle in tan and put in on a rocky outcrop for the Classic Castle Contest XVI's Classic Castle Category.
I kept the main castle features, including the three towers, gatehouse, drawbridge and buttresses. The largest change I made (other than the color) was to enclose the back tower. I also added paths to the inside of the castle.
A little Chameleon exploring the deep sea in a Submersible shaped like an Angler Fish.
Built for the Brickset Build a Polybag competition. This one has 46 pieces (including the scenery).
The Royal Knights were great to play with as a kid. Now I made tiny versions of the sets for a small building competition of my LEGO User Group Lowlug. The sets are:
My version of the 1989 Spy-Trak 1.
It has Power Functions, four wheel drive, steering and flashy lights.
Mmmm….yummmm….!!!
