Dr Andrew Wormas has been calculating the time for each build and subsequent quality of the builds in this ABS Challenge. His results are inconclusive. Perhaps if his pencil had lead he'd have more accurate data.

I used all five parts from the previous challenges in this MOC. See if you can find them all.

The year I got my first red spaceman and, later on, a second-hand yellow castle.

The double-sided "Stranger Things" builds inspired me to try the form in a small way, in my world of Lego.

Mwahahahahaha!

I based this build off of the Joker from the video game Arkham.

Soli Deo Gloria!

Ninth build in my Iron Builder round against Eann just 1 red cauldron (y'all I'm running out XD).

Also, naturally, a vignweek day four build. Revamp of set 10024. The baron was on my list of IB builds but I had no idea the set existed. Figured I'd do a google search anyways but with zero expectations, so it felt exciting to find it.

Clouds here were really fun, loved getting some mileage out of these technic panels. More angles will be on Insta soon(ish). It's definitely not minifigure scale by the way, you can take my word for that. But a minifigure can sit in it because why not (however, he can also stand by the side and look cool, how's that for a compromise).

Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin, is one of Gotham's biggest crime lords. His organization is run out of the shady nightclub called The Iceberg Lounge.

One of the my favorites from the collection, The Penguin was the second completed figure, and one of the easiest to build--taking only six hours or so. Unlike Catwoman, he did not require a revamp, and so he is unchanged from his original design that was built some nine or ten months ago.

His coat utilizes a Duplo caveman bearskin rug.

My entry to round 3 of The Tourney. The category I chose was to revamp any castle set, and I decided to do the Yellow castle 375. Instead of doing yellow with red for the wooden sections, as on the original, I did tan with Reddish Brown for wood. My castle features a working drawbridge, four hinging sections, working doors, a blacksmith shop, and a stables.

I was not completely satisfied with the landscape of my Aquanauts MOC, I publish in january this year. So I build a new one and that’s it.

original text:

For a contest on roguebricks.de I jumped back to one of my favorite childhood themes, Lego Aquanauts. The landscape is highly inspired by Anthony Wilson and the sub is orientated to the Crystal Explorer Sub - 6175. Hope you like it.

This is part of the LL-497 project. The idea is to update everything seen in this set.

Another entry for the Roguebricks JahresChellenge. This time one of my all-time favorite themes M-Tron. It manly based on the Particle Ioniser (6923) from 1990. I am not completely satisfied with it because I couldn’t integrate the cargo main idea, or even some magnets. So, it turns more out like a scout ship then a cargo one. 😅

The pad is mainly inspired by this one by Filler Brick.

This build should not have taken five years to finish. But here we are, I guess.

Largely inspired by the Metroid Prime series.

Big thanks to Huw from Brickset for the photography, and the folks here on Flickr and Discord for the advice, crit and kind words on various WIP photos over the years.

Looks like the Power Miners have drilled too far...

My Batman collection consists of one batarang that I misplaced on Saturday. So naturally the Batcave was a totally logical choice... XD

Power Miners on the other hand--I've only ever had one Power Miners set, and one of the smallest at that, but I loved the theme and the Thunder Driller was my favorite of the sets and it was so much fun recreating it!

And whew, that brings my vignweek to a close. Six builds, each built, photographed, and uploaded in less than 24 hours (I didn't build yesterday). After a rough second and third day, I was able to push myself for three of IMHO my best vignettes ever for these last three days. Definitely a little disappointed with my placements so far, but it is my first vignweek anyways and it's been a fun one!

I'll be going into more detail on the week for my blog including some behind the scenes pics and alternate shots soon, link to come!

A revamped version of LEGO set, Desert Expedition originally released in 1998.

I had almost all of the Desert line of Adventures sets as a kid, this was one of the few I didn't have.

When the crown/eggshell pieces was first introduced, I immediately wanted to use it for the trunk of a palm tree, and I have been waiting for 4 years to get it in an appropriate color. Now available in dark tan I immediately wanted to build something with a palm tree, and revamping this set is what I settled on.

Hi everybody, its been a while!

After more than a year of inactivity, I am happy to finally share a new model with you: a Cherry-Blossom Bonsai!

Over the course of the last year, I have been building a few projects but non really came together. There was always a lack of time or I was dissatisfied with the progress so I did not finish most of them. This is one of the reasons I haven't shared any new builds last year.

But the release of the new Botanical Collection from LEGO® got me really excited about building again. It inspired me to, for once, not build anything that needs to match an original reference but instead build something that should just be beautiful. And when Brickset started the Build a Bonsai, I took it up as a challenge to build it within this month.

As this is a competition entry it is of course build solely from original LEGO® bricks. I did not even cut any flex-tube, which is rare for me. Even though Cherry-Blossom Trees are one of my favourite trees, I was reluctant to build one at first, as I had already built multiple in the past. Therefore I tried to make this one as different from my previous trees as possible, with a more distinct treetop.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who purchased my instructions, reached out to me or left heart-felt comments in the past year, even though I did not upload any new builds. It is incredibly encouraging to see that you enjoy the builds and are inspired by them! Thanks!

I hope you like the newest addition!

Quick build inspired by 40451 Tatooine Homestead Probably won't get one, so I've decided to build a version of it.

I'm still in the Rogue Olympics mentally, so under 101 parts :D

My small, last-minute contribution to Febrovery. This is an updated version of 6826 Crater Crawler from 1985. Aside from adding more modern parts, I also improved the ground clearance substantially.

After being tagged twice, I decided to cease my procrastination and put up a photo.

Ten facts about me:

1. The only reason the picture above is not an actual shot of me is because I'm lazy, and photographing Lego is easier :)

2. In two weeks it will be my one-year anniversary of joining Flickr!

3. I grew my hair out for Locks For Love

from 4th grade to 8th, and achieved at least 14 inches of hair that reached to my lower back.

4. I am but 14 years of age.

5. My lucky number is 60. Don't ask me why, I don't really know. It just is.

6. My favorite movies of all time are:

-Oceans 11

-Oceans 13

-The Bourne Supremacy

7. I am unfortunately addicted to the show Glee.

8. My first and favorite videogame of all time is Chibi-Robo, a game in which you're a tiny robot who cleans a house.

9. My first Lego set was the "Alien Avenger":

www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6975-1

10. I have a fear of confined spaces and spiders (claustrophobia and arachnaphobia)

Also, if I tagged anyone who doesn't want to be tagged, I apologize.

My entry to the Brickset bonsai competition.

I wanted to make something more lively and dynamic than the original set. I used many unusual black parts for the tree in order to have a nice curved aspect.

My latest build felt a bit empty without characters.

Largely inspired by the Luminoth in Metroid Prime 2.

Thanks Huw from Brickset for the photo.

Trying to pose this guy without the legs collapsing is like trying to unicycle across a tightrope made of dental floss.

I still remember clearly on this one, the idea came from December 6th 2014 when my friend Daniel made a bird from blue Mixel’s parts, but due to his limited parts he used leafs for the tails, and my other friend Erwin said that it looks and can be modified as a peacock. So thanks to both of you for the idea and inspiration on this one :)

Some builds take on their own life. This loco started out as tablescrap with the cannon part. I gave it some rolling stock thinking it might be a cute holiday train. Instead it got huffy and demanded a bridge. And a bridge needs something to cross ...

Hey everyone! Here's a bonsai tree I made last week for Brickset's contest. The tree came together fairly quickly, and is quite sturdy (at least as far as trees go). Overall I'm happy with how it turned out.

So I guess between this and my Castle Tower Vase I made my own version of Lego's botanical collection. :D Let me know what you guys think of it!

It was also pretty fun trying something new as my background (which involves less clean up time!).Big thanks to my dad for letting me use his camera for this shot!

Built for the LEGO: Reimagined Build Contest.

I chose the Atlantis set Gateway of the Squid to reimagine: brickset.com/sets/8061-1/Gateway-of-the-Squid

This started as a simple modification to the upcoming 40650 6-wide Land Rover set to integrate the more squared off 28326 mudguards, which felt more appropriate to me. Then, the set designer Adam Grabowski posted his prototype to Flickr, and instantly, I wanted to add more elements similar to the ones that model had. I also added some, but not all, of the accessory elements from the Creator Expert-scaled set (since I feel like that one's a bit too busy with ALL the stuff it has on it).

I'd like to give credit to several individuals for aspects of this model:

- LEGO, for the upcoming set.

- Adam Grabowski, for the prototype.

- john.carter, for the offset square mudguard integration concept.

- Ids de Jong, for the gas can idea.

- The LEGO Car Building Discord server, for bits of feedback.

After reading the Bricket Random Set Of The Day about set 5590 “Whirl and Wheel Super Truck” I had the urge to build the B model and convert it into both Futuron and Classic Space variants. The trans yellow windscreen is a bit shorter, and they don’t make the train doors in Medium Stone Grey, but I think I got pretty close!

"A Christmas Carol"

The classic tale of Bobanezer Scrooge and the Jawas of Christmas Past, Present and Future

This is the first in a series, the idea of which was spawned by the release of Bounty Hunter Speeder Bike Battle Pack.

I never had a clear idea of the scale I was building in, and only a basic idea of what he would look like, so he evolved over time.

As he got bigger he needed constant redesigning to prevent him collapsing under his own weight.

It's been nearly 5 years in the making, with a lot of learning along the way.
