Stacks of bricks in a shed. I took three exposures and processed with Photomatix. The areas that would normally appear underexposed have nice detail and color. HDR doesn't always have to mean looking unnatural. I think this looks more natural than the individual components.

This is some sort of tutorial on how I do my brick wall backgrounds. Though scrapbooking papers can give you a very realistic and easy brick background, sometimes I love to make a "real" wall with texture and color.
The wall is made out of styrofoam, the window is made of foamboard.
Every now and then, I paint a brick with a brighter shade, like with more red or more ochre. I love it when you get the idea of having individuals among the bricks, so pick a favorite brick and make it stand out a bit more.
